Weird feeling that someone wants to help me when I didnt even ask for help.
Not that I am helping myself, but its kind of unneccessary?

I know when children want to help you often they wont know what to do anyway and make things worse, but then, I know people that COMPLAIN they never receive any help, when they actually havent asked for specific help and assumed someone would always help them unasked.

However, when given help, they then complain the help they are given is all wrong.

Help doesnt necessarily mean that you do that persons job or task FOR them. Some children make that mistake. They think by reading a book it will counts for another person even when they are not there.

So...what is the deal with help?

sorry I cant articulate this. But what kind of help are people thinking of, when everyone has their own goals and ideas of what helps and what doesnt.

Deep thoughts... LOL

1. America's separation of powers is reminiscent of God's break-up of world unity back in Genesis: It uses ambition to check ambition.

2. America is embracing the mindset of the ancient Hebrews. God wanted them special and set apart from other nations, but they wanted to be like the other nations. America is founded on special and unique premises. But, she is doubting herself and now wants to lose her exceptional status, to become like all of the other nations.

3. Jesus said that if Sodom had seen the miracles Israel had seen when He was walking the earth, Sodom's citizens would have repented. So, why didn't He do that for them?

4. Why haven't our bodies received the same rejuvenation our spirits did? Why was salvation only applied to our non-physical aspects? This way, we physically die when we wouldn't have to.

Ever watch a hornet after you spray it with bug spray? I have. It was frightening. The poor thing was dying, in terrible agony, and the only thing it did was flex its whole body over and over, trying blindly and desperately to sting something.

Even in nature - not the nature God designed, but the broken nature we have ever since Adam and Eve's fruit snack - even in nature, when something is hurt the first reflex is to find something else to hurt.

When I am hurting it takes more than I naturally have to keep from hurting other people. That's why we need God.

That is interesting...

When I am hurting, I just want relief from the hurt - I have no want or wish for others to hurt also.
You never want to snap at people when you're hurting?

That's how humans hurt others, because whacking them over the head is illegal these days. And I've never known a single person who was in pain and automatically sweetness and light. When we hurt we have to deliberately be nice.

Personally, sometimes I'd rather go back to just whacking people over the head... But I wouldn't want to be whacked, and somebody snapping at me is a lot easier to ignore than somebody whacking me, so yeah, it's probably better to keep whacking people illegal.

Never mind that it's sinful.

Oh, I see what you mean. I was not thinking about it quite like that. I thought you meant it like you actually wanted to hurt somebody - as in, looking for an opportunity...

Most of the time - if I am hurting - I am hurting alone. Or, if I have a headache (or other type of pain) while at work or somewhere - I usually just "deal with it"...

I cannot guarantee that I would never "snap" at someone if I am hurting; however, in general, I would say that my previous statement holds true.

If I do anything, I "complain to God" about it.

I can imagine "looking for sympathy" in some way sometimes. But, I don't think I am as likely to "share my misery" in a way that will actually "hurt" someone else in the sense that you describe it (or worse).

Again - I am usually alone...

when I have a headache, I try to get home and lie down and maybe rub some tiger balm on my temples

I dont complain to everyone loudly 'I have a headache' I just kind of withdraw from others. There is not much others can do, I mean sure they could rub the balm on my temples if they wanted but I have two hands and can easily do that myself.

But then I know what to do that brings relief. Some people dont, they have no idea --they are in pain and just dont know what to do I suppose.

It's easy to disagree with the method when the problem isn't yours.
It's also doggone easy to suggest methods.

Tomorrow marks the beginning of the new school year. Last year was so horrible that I’m finding I’m abnormally anxious about returning. I have a sense of dread that I hope will pass.

It’s really had me thinking about how people have different anxieties and fears that are so real to them, at least in the moment. I’m going to do my best to be more mindful of this in the future.

Actually the hornet is responding that way because it feels under attack. It's using its right to self-defense. Nothing comparable to a human taking their pain out on another human.
