I know there is a prayer request forum and I could post my requests there but I've come to view the single's forum as home. I enjoy my daily visits and reading the posts on this forum. Y'all are special.

Could you or would you join me in praying for (1) a very special wee one, 2 years old, lost her big sister who was 5 years old to an inoperable brain tumor last year. The little two year old has started to turn inward and isolate from others. I sew doll clothes for her. She is my sister's husband's niece. (2) a dear cousin, who I considered my big bubby and dear friend as I was growing up (didn't have any brothers) lost his dad Feb 2012, my dad, who he was close to, Feb 2013 and just this past week found his closest friend dead at home. He went in because the door was unlocked. The friend had been dead for four days. Lastly, a big one (3) my dad died February 22, 2013 and I want to travel north to visit the grave next week. I ask for safe travel it is winter here and it can get unpredictable and that God is really REALLY close when I stand by dad's grave. Due to issues within my immediate family, I was at his memorial service and he had a full rights military service. Still working through a few things with his death. I do miss him, lots.

Thank you, bunches and bunches.

God is good.

With a grateful heart,
Abbie Jean

Thank you, Jim. Appreciate that. :)

One of the "curses" of having fibromyalgia is thought processes can misfire in the brain circuits and when I get tired (I've had a full day, folks...was out traveling in a blizzard over here) I make mistakes. I get so upset with myself. I type it, I read out loud as I type and proof before it post it and then when I go back I see I made a mistake.

I'm sorry. I know I've made comments and when reading it it might be missing a word or the words are turned around or it even has a wee grammatical error or two. I ask when you see those in my posts, just say a prayer. I can use all you can spare. LOL LOL :)

God is good.

With a thankful heart,
Abbie Jean

I've been told that my idea to name a bakery Cupcake Cartel is cute and creepy. So I responded with, "Just like me!". :D

I'm pretty proud of that.

Yeah, but you're smart too which makes you t-r-o-u-b-l-e. My bakery would have to be called Cupcake Crematory.

I just took my 2-door hatchback Toyota Yaris in for the 150,000 mile tune up. She's been with me since April 2006 and has never had a major problem. There are a couple of things I'm going to replace before they become future problems; but overall, she has been a great vehicle. (Yes, she's a "she.")

I'm somewhat torn between three - an rx8, a mini cooper roadster or a range rover. I find it cute that you call your car a 'she' haha my uncle does the same.

Interesting choice in vehicles. X has owned the first two. The RX8 was kind of cool, but any non-skinny friends hated it. I found it hard to get out of when I was wearing 4" heels.

X's mini has spent more time in the shop that on the road, or at least that's what he tells me when he wants me to drive our son all the way to Fort Worth for visitation.

I've got no experience with a Range Rover.

As someone who owned a Mini Cooper for about 6 years, I would recommend against it.

Unreliable, high maintenance cost, sparse service centers, etc.

You would be better off buying a Porsche Boxster in the long run.

In other news...

I'm going to ask my neighbor, if I can keep the cat that has lived on our porch in a heated box we made, been taken care of and loved all winter. They still think she is a boy. They also have 4 other cats, 2 rabbits, a duck and like 2 dogs.

When it first came over it was TOO skinny. But it adopted us, even without us feeding it, it slept and lived on our porch until it got cold, then we made it a warm dry place to sleep, heated and out of the elements. Then we started feeding it.

I mostly want to take it to the Vet, and not have them look at me like I stole it. Also, I would like to know if its fixed, so as to avoid getting the blessing that she has been multiplied exponentially.

Well, according to your reviews the cooper is out of the picture. I looked at the porsche boxster and I like it, so that can always be an option, still considering the rx as well. I don't think I would have any issues getting in and out being 5"1 and very petite lol. I will keep looking around til I can settle on something. Thanks guys. :)

I think it's great of you to take her in!! Just hearing that makes me happy since I hate seeing cruelty to animals.

Funny thing. I'm in the same situation. A few months this cat has just randomly started showing up on our front porch around December. A shop right by our house gives it food and shelter during the day. So we hadn't needed to worry about it. I'm worried about him now.

A couple weeks ago on some Sunday morning I was getting ready for church (I should call my youth pastor about tomorrow morning now thinking about that). All of a sudden, I heard Mocha growling and barking fiercely at his box outside. We thought there might have been a wild animal in it. Dad flipped the flap on his box, and there was the cat. It ran off back to our front porch, and I decided to check on it. It has a wound on his leg and he won't put weight on it. :( Well, I THINK it's a he. Anyways...I'm REALLY wishing I had money for a vet appointment for it. That wound could get infected if it isn't already.

Call around.....some vet clinics will take in animals in need of care without you having to pay for it.
