From a student's perspective, I love constructive criticism. I can even find some benefit in not-so-constructive criticism and manage to learn because at least I know what I'm doing wrong. I don't expect to be coddled, but I do expect to be taught. Mockery and humiliation serves no educational purpose other than teaching me how NOT to be a teacher.
Some people should not be educators.
*sigh* thankfully pianists have access to the lock-able practice rooms so I had a place to cry after class today.
