God isn't always the "magic wand" that makes our unmovable rocks move, sometimes he's the rock we stand on so we're not moved by the unmovable rocks. Those things in our life that won't budge, also won't budge us if we're trusting in the true one who NEVER budges.

When I see the all of this prophetic date setting based on the latest headlines, I think of this scene.

I am on the best diet plan ever, the Norovirus diet, down 7 pounds since Sunday.
Wow, congratulations!

In all seriousness...I hope you feel better soon. I've never heard of the Norovirus but it doesn't sound fun at all.

Thanks Lil, Norovirus is basically what people call a stomach flu. Although it's not a flu or related to the flu.

Yup, Psalm 62: 6 says He only is my rock and my salvation. He is my defense I shall not be moved. :)

I would like to take this moment to thank the Bible Discussions forum. You have provided a much-needed opportunity for me to learn how to stand my ground factually and dispassionately in the face of illogical opposition, the perfect preparation for dealing with an uncooperative coparent. Your brief bouts of insanity have helped me tone my mental acumen to stand up to my Goliath, for which I will be forever grateful.

Blessings!

Today I had one of my most beautiful encounters with God.... :)

I'm getting ready to board my train. All of a sudden someone hit me from the back, I turned around n' it was a blind girl whom you can tell is younger than me. So I said, "Oh, sorry" She answered with a beautiful n' cheerful smile saying "Oh, no, don't worry about it" Someone got her on the train n' left. He didn't get on the train with her. So she found her way to a seat and again in a cheerful way with a smile on her beautiful face she said "I've decided I'm gonna sit" and she sat down n' her smile was still on her face. I said my usual arrow prayer whenever I see a disabled person, I pray for them for God to help them and I thank God for what I have. Then I got to my stop. I got off the train n' I found that blind girl standing on the platform. So I went up to her asking "Would you like some help going any where?" Again, she answered in her cheerful smiley way saying "I would LOVE some help" So I smiled back saying to her "You are so cute" :) And then I asked her where would you like to go? So she answered cheerfully saying "I wanna go to Aruba!!" And we both laughed. :D Then she explained to me how she would want to hold on to my arm and all of that. We got to the street level N' I asked her "Where would you like to go?" So she said cheerfully "I would like to go to a nice restaurant for a good hot meal" The way she said it gave me an impression she really has a good appetite right now. So we walked together and in my mind I wish I could ask her how is she SO cheerful like that when she's blind. But of course, I wouldn't say it that way. So I just said "Someone is having a good day today" So she answered cheerfully saying "Every day is a good day" I felt I'm in Awe with this girl......she has every right to be sad or resentful, but she's completely the opposite!!!! N' I thought to myself if we truly delight ourselves in the Lord during our hardship, we could be a blessing for others exactly how this girl was a blessing for me n' taught me that my problems are not as big as hers, n' I might not be as happy as she is. THAT'S all what we need to do, delight ourselves in the Lord to show how a genuine Christian live their lives. :)

http://www.urban75.org/useless/bored.html

there are some cute ideas in there.

i'll add a few of my own silly (and not so silly) things to do when bored:

memorize scripture - one of my favorite way to pass the time when i am waiting.
see how long you can hold your breath
work on your cartwheel - you never know when you'll need it
see if you can list the books in the bible in order (from memory). ok, now try it backwards.
try to think of a week's worth of dinner menus
throw out stuff you don't need - organize
make sure you have mates for all your socks
try to skip backwards

and now, boredom conquering, cc related ideas

reply to threads on cc. use esoteric references and vague points. contradict yourself.
use the "like" link sarcastically
start a modesty thread. stand back and watch. defend the burka.
reply to people's posts with useless validation, such as "i see" and "gotcha" and "i hear ya"

Last year I broke my ankle on the 1 st day of Spring, I hope this year is less eventful. Oh I drove my self to the urgent care when I did that. Luckily it was left leg and I don't drive a manual car. I had to pick my kids up from school and I wasn't going in an ambulance like my step dad said I should.

I remember you mentioning that. No more climbing trees, ok? :D
