I have no idea why I woke up so happy today . All morning, I was contemplating (meditating on, I suppose) that verse in Lamentations - "the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness."

It was one of those days where I felt like I was radiating God's love. The on-again, off-again showers were making the air smell clean and the colors seemed so vibrant - I felt like bursting out with "It's a Wonderful World." I was out in Capitol Park pushing my program participant around in his wheelchair (I work with developmentally disabled adults), two young men shared Jesus with us. When asked that fun question that street witnesses like to ask, "How do you know you are going to heaven?," I told them that it's not about anything I did, but all about what Jesus did..and I think I was beaming as I said that...

I'm still feeling this way...I like it...it's a bit weird, kind of a warm, fuzzy joy :D

Anyone else like music like this?

Their style reminds me of Relient K. Which I LOVE Relient K. Well...I love their older stuff. Their newest album is really weird. They need to get back to their classic style.

"Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee,
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided,
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me."

Love this!

"His mercies are new every morning." This is wonderful. When we get a new car, or a new pair of shoes, or a new whatever, at first it's super exciting and we want to tell and show everyone. But that newness wears off. In 3 years, it won't be a new car anymore. But God's mercies are new every morning. We can not wear Him out or exhaust His depths.

PS Ms. Rachel: Well, it's a nice photo you have now, but the other one was kind of special as well. I guess it sort of showed your sense of deep coloring.

Blessings.

I feel like i'm floundering in my faith right now. I have no spiritual resolve...no fire, no nothing. I feel alone, locked in my own shell. I need to stop hiding from the world.

So:

Prayer and the Scriptures. These are the very sphere that those who love and trust the Lord Jesus inhabit and breathe in.

John 14.1-17 is a particularly suitable passage/

I didn't "like" this because I like that you feel this way, only because I can very much relate. That's a bit how I've been feeling lately. I think a lot of it comes from lack of effort on my part as well as not enough interaction with fellow Christians. I'm too introverted for my own good, a lot of the time.

What's going through my mind right now: Oh boy I may have made a mistake getting involved here. I could spend a lot of time on this forum.

I don't want to give up hope. I really don't. But it looks so bleak....
Anything you can share with us here, Lil? I will pray for you. In the meantime, hang in there. A preacher once said, "If you find yourself going through hell...don't stop, keep going!" Because there is peace once you get to the other side. God bless you, Lil.

What Jesus promised..
"I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." - (John 14:18 KJV)

You know what really hurts.... when someone treats you a certain way based on their PAST experiences without giving you a fair chance. I've been dealing with that for the past two years.
