An acquaintance (not exactly 'friend') came up and hugged me unexpectedly.
Girl: Whoa, why do you smell so good?
Me: I don't know.. I take showers.
Girl: *still hugging me, awkward silence*

...

Girl: I should try that sometime.
Me: ..I'm gonna go now.
Maybe I'll try it too! :D

Just now found out that Westboro Baptist Church is sending some of their folks to my city this summer to picket the Alaska Native Heritage Center, because "there is nothing appealing or holy about the 'heritage' of the eleven 'distinct cultures' or 'diverse population' of Alaska", according to their flyer.

It's obvious they've never encountered angry Alaskans before.

I mean really, if they wanted to visit Alaska they could have just chartered a cruise. No need to use a protest as an excuse :p

Easter Sunday is on the same date worldwide, but the date changes from year to year.

Although Easter and Passover are not the same holiday the two holidays are interrelated thus Passover and Easter being celebrated at the same time. Christ (the Passover Lamb) was crucified during the observance of Passover thus the observance of Easter chasing Passover around the calendar since the Jewish calendar which dictates when Jewish festivals are held is a lunar calendar (based on the lunar cycles) whereas our calendar is based on the solar cycle.

Thank you!

Last night I kinda stood up for myself - with the push of a dear friend. It's the first time I've done it.

Sometimes we open our windows without any shade... I´m the kind who loves and try to know below the surface...

Will I be allowed?

The lunar eclipse was very cool. It was perfectly clear out, I didn't have to leave my backyard to see it (I live in town, so I was afraid I'd have to drive out of town to see it), and I got to talk to my friend. In hindsight, I should have had the telescope we have ready. We haven't used it in years, but I wasn't about to rummage through the cold, dark garage looking for it. There's 3 more lunar eclipses within the year, so I know I'll have another opportunity!

That kind of stuff fascinates me. It was so weird to think that the Earth's shadow was on the moon. The Earth's shadow. I mean, that's just incredible to me.

I'd love to see a total solar eclipse someday. I've only ever seen a (very) partial one.
