My friend is really struggling right now. With herself, with God. She's a Christian, but going through really hard times. I try to encourage her and give her what little wisdom I have, and I even told her that I feel like I'm not being helpful at all. She said that me just being there to listen to her means a lot. Still, I wish I had all the right things to say, or that I could just take it all for her.

It seems that I can encourage her all I can, of course, but also pray for her. Only God can change her, I can't.

long days. living on west coast and responding to the market's call is beckoning, if that makes any sense. The Lord leads. I try to count whatever God all has me doing in life as His blessing me, even WHEN what's before me, like uhaul yech work last week seems more trial than blessing. Count your trials as blessings, doesn't Scripture say that too. Somewhere like James 1:2-3 , producing patience, building/bringing character :). God bless you, Christ peeps, keep on chirping His name all through your day, sillent or loud, the Lord leads, no worries :). I remembered tobpray this morning, do a devotional before day-trading. Market was 'live' today, but, even if not a 'grand' day like today, even in down sessions, I know He will provide, we just MUST trust in Him, in His ways , in His things done, seen, in our life, always praying, praying, praying as we walk our days, as we, what? Pray our day away :).

the devotional I read was short, it was where Jesus had to leave His own hometown because the people would not believe in His miracles done all around them, Scripture calls it 'unbelief.' Unbelievable really, Jesus could not reach those closest to Him, friends, relatives. OK, late now, gotta go to bed cuz gotta get up one more 4am-ish day this week then off to sis at ocean I think and look forward to piddy getting to run in the waves and dad coming with , remember your dad this week. I can't emphasize enough how much your dad loves you, and, if gone away, homage him, or, who is/was a father figure in your life. and, remember, God is our Father in heaven , He takes care of us all, remember Him every day, but, why not give Dad in the 'sky' special honor, glory , and, prayer this Sunday too. :)

Just an observation...
I have met quite a few women that seem to obsess about not being with a controlling man. Yet they seem to test men by telling them to go away and the only ones that they are left with are the controlling ones that don't respect them. How do they not see this?
Because they have issues that they need to work out in themselves about not being good enough for someone else so it's easier to be alone.
Makes no sense but it's an issue with control itself and their baggage from it.
Verbal and physical abuse leaves mental and visibal scars that get swept under the proverbial rug and control or lack of it spills into everything like a cancer.
I have been suffering with this way too long and am tired of hiding it. Hope this helps shed some light to the subject.

By the way prayers from all would be much appreciated.

You're a good friend, Rachel. She's lucky to have a friend like you.

You know what's awesome about most Christians?

We can be mad at someone without saying a single cuss word towards them.

We can have fun and go wild without doing worldly/sinful things.

We can be funny without being crude.

And we don't have to bear the burden of being like everyone else and keeping up with everyone else. We can truly be our own individual and believe it.

lil'...I really hope & pray one day soon you will write a book of all your thoughts & things God has shown you, because sometimes the things you say are so profound it takes my breath away. I doubt you even realize it. The wisdom & truth that you allow God to manifest & then pour out from you is such a blessing. So many of your posts make me smile or encourage me. I think so many people in your age group could use such a role model as you...Jesus of course being the ultimate role model, but even when you are feeling down...yer' sadness or pain, there is still such a light inside that never gives up...that never walks away from God. I dunno..you just bless my socks off & I truly thank God for people like you!:)

Rachedge should tell her friend all the good things God's done for her, since she says she's a Christian, just thinking to myself....., reading the LIGHT's tear up there, and, let me tell you HE is really tearing 'it' up , that is exactly IT too, right there: The wisdom and turth that WE allow God to manifest and then pour out from us is such a blessing. this is not easy, takes time, takes vulnerability, we might even be afraid to do it.....

Good !

I thought the above was a great image, I don't want to put the fear of God in you so you fear God and won't serve Him, won't listen to Him speak to you, won't want to do what He wants you to do, AND, you, therefore, will WANT to do your own thing, like Israelites, who were 'children of rebellion,' they knew what was RIGHT but they were rebels. Read Hebrews if you don't believe me :)

But, God wants us to FEAR Him in a good way, and, that means that when I'm doing my work today, I am praying before getting going, unless I forget, and, then, I 'm stopping EVERYTHING (hold the phone! :D ) and, putting my hands together and praying, then, I'm doing a devotional to start my day (there so easy to find on the internet, or, open your bible, or, go to a Christian bookstore and get a devotional book) and then as I do my work I am VERBALIZING to God what I am doing. This DOES show I am not wanting to be in control (but my flesh so wanna :D ) , and, THEN, when/if things go wrong, I just KNOW God is good. I also do little sacrifice things, try, anyway, it's a lot easier when things going good financially, I know, but, Cain and Abel is a good example, God wants OUR best and that's NOT changed since the 'beginning' of time :)

oh yea edit feature I almost forgot good ole Job to help us understand that it should scare the bejeebees out of us IF we do not fear God, Job knew :)

Job 28:28 And he said to the human race, "The fear of the Lord ... ... He has commanded mankind: 'To fear the Lord—that is wisdom;
to move away from evil—that is understanding.'"

And, wisdom is for us to not do of ourselves, we just can't do it, and, as Christians, we should KNOW we can't do it, we are to hinge our belief and our understanding in Him and following Him, the Lord leads :) Walk, by faith, not easy, easy to fear what SEEMS to be coming next, just ask Abraham taking his own, only son up a hill to KILL him

Proverbs 15:33 Wisdom's instruction is to fear the LORD, and ... Wisdom's instruction is to fear the LORD, and humility comes before honor. ...
Fear of the LORD teaches wisdom; humility precedes honor

Do you know that for the longest time, I've been having issues where my laptop would be crazy slow and laggy despite being a Windows 7 machine with no malware on it? Seriously! There were no viruses or anything. I figured I just had drawn the short straw on technology.

A couple days ago I disabled the Aero theme. It's a lot of eye candy but I wanted to try and boost my laptop's performance. It would freeze up on me often. Since I've disabled Aero, I have not had those problems! Hallelujah! My computer runs like a young Windows 7 machine should! :D

So, my thought for the week: Thank God it's Friday! Woot! lol What a painfully long week, it felt so slow and like it was never ending. Now, I can rest and enjoy the weekend. *sighs*

My life was so consumed by work to the point that it was affecting my health. It was only after I landed in the hospital last year (pneumonia) that I began to realize how deeply I had been affected. I was helping a lot of people, but it was not a healthy atmosphere for me mentally, physically or spiritually. It kept me from church services and Bible studies on many occasions. I felt that I was going down for the last time.

I prayed for my life to change. It has. Drastically. I have a new life now. I work for myself now and God is blessing me in so many ways. I have more time for friends and family, as well as more opportunities to serve/bless others.

I'm spending more time with my son, whose life is changing too. I have absolute peace in the path he has prayerfully chosen. I will miss him, but I know in my heart that he is doing the right thing.

Very soon I may be leaving this area. Maybe for a time. Maybe for good. I don't know that part yet. It is still unfolding. It is not in my hands. It is completely in God's hands. He is showing me things I must release to Him and doors I have yet to open. It is a new season in my life, one I am looking forward to because I know I will be serving Him in greater ways than I ever have before.

I can't wait to see what He does next. I'm nervous, but excited. I know Who is holding me.

There's no limit what God can do when we ask Him to . Just a thought, for anyone that wants to read it and bring it to Him for understanding, because He makes sense. One of my favorite lines, besides, well, you know ;) , is "God is the only one who will never let you down." That is the truth: family will, friends will, God won't . It might SEEM like God is letting you down but He's not, don't worry, He's not, He's not, not, not :) God has ONLY good plans for you. Hey! That's not me speaking, that's He who made you. What a thought !!! You are not some egg in the water that evolved into a fish and then grew legs and became a lizard, YOU are His creation, and, EVERY bit about you was CREATED by Him, for "His good will and pleasure," as Scripture tells us. So does Scripture say, we are "His workmanship," (Eph. 2:10) . We are PUT on this planet for a purpose, it's His for us. Don't drive your own purpose, YOU can't do it IF you have given your self to Him, He HAS the plans for you :) Jeremiah 29:11. Right? I know, most of you know this verse but maybe this, the Lord leads, helps you see the verse and Him in a new light. You are His workmanship, He wants us to do what then? Work, right?
Hard to tell all what will happen when we do His work, we know what that is, don't we, being good, letting Him lead our lives as we have compassion for the poor, help the needy with food, etc. etc. LOVE. It's such a word, such a WORD ! And, it's sooo important, first, we are to Love Him with ALL our everything--mind, body, soul, heart, and, then, we are to love who, with His kind of 'Love?' Each other.
-----------

Wow ! What a day ! Work was not good, I didn't sleep well last night and doing mind-active work I'm doing now you just can't do that, but, I know things happen for a reason and, I know, God's really blessed me in the last 24 and really all my life, speaking of work, EVERY work I've done--and, a lot of it I look back on and say , 'I really did that?'--I've thanked God for and, praised Him, because I've enjoyed my many jobs done, from newspaper delivery to delivering pizzas to yeah, everything. I hope I say that truthfully, some work, of course, I liked better than others if I 'scaled' it, but, yeah, OK, and, one more thing today that was God AT WORK...... :)

I was inside AT WORK on my business stuff when, suddenly, outside I heard this yelp followed by yelping and other noise. I was not sure what it was so I went running outside, not sure exactly why but my dog was outside and she can get herself in trouble with her friendliness to others. The noise of yelping got louder as I approached it behind a machinery trailer....

It was my dog who looked like she was about dead. I prayed to God inside as I ran over to the 100 lb pitbull that had her neck in its throat. Piddy was being held up in the air by the neck. So, you can imagine my praying and my panic. People say it's useless to try and pull a pit's jaws apart that are locked onto something, in this case my dog ! But, that's exactly what I did , as my dad and the other pit's owner were discussing what to do, I heard, one say, get a pipe, the other was saying, something too but in that splitsecond! I was praying and going right at my dog and that pitt that had her in a death grip.

I took my hands and pulled on the pit's jaws, and, surprisingly, I say, PRAISE GOD :) , the pit let go of my dog ! She was limp and I realized immediately that she was not with a gaping flesh wound in the side of her neck. The pit had just had my dog by the hair part, I found out when I examined her. I then looked at my shirt and blood was all over it, so, I was beginning to wonder if she suffered another gaping wound elsewhere. Examining her, I found nothing???? But then>>>>> I saw her ear, which was bloody and dripping. That was wear this pit must have bit her. I was soo relieved, praised God, again too :)

This tells me two things, one, I found out piddy was trying to protect her property and this dog came on it and she went after the dog that was 40 lbs heavier than she is. My dog is a pitbull and german shorthair mix, she's got a lover's personality, not a fighter.

Anyway, it was all enough for me to tell you all and just give a praise report because when I first saw piddy she looked like she was just about done, the jugular would spew blood soon as I got my mouth on that pit and unclenched its jaws. I give God all credit as you know, I don't think there is any question that God was just trying to show me who was in control.
He did it all, that makes then sense, doesn't it, since He did it all, shouldn't we give everything we have that's of us and inside us to trying to follow His good plan for our life :)

This thread fell off the front page. I am pretty sure that's the first time I ever saw that happen.

Time for me to be productive today. It's 10 AM, been up two hours. Maybe I should get going.

I'm bad. A vixen really. I'm working with a new coworker today. He is a cross between Jensen Ackens and Kurt Cobain. Gorgeous. I've met his girlfriend before, but I can't help but blush a little when I talk to him. Trying to make little eye contact lol. Gotta be professional and respectable. Get a grip arwen. Lol.
