I always like to take the personality tests that popup on FB every so often to see how accurate they are. Pretty close for having no preference on several of the questions.

You are green! You are a peaceful, well balanced individual with a natural beauty many people envy. You take everything in your stride and have a laid back attitude that keeps you from feeling stressed. Your kind nature makes you the perfect shoulder to cry on, and your friends value you for your soothing, well balanced approach to life. You feel close to nature and are happiest in the fresh air, so watch out for jobs that coop you up indoors for too long

yes, that does sound like you.

if i could find a job writing these quizzes i might do it. there are things that we universally value and see in ourselves, and i maintain that i could write quizzes in which everyone would "see" themselves.

oh, and the next best? i'd be a "psychic". give me your money and i'll tell you creepy facts about yourself. i'm not sure know how i figure this stuff out--but over the years, i've been part of a prank (a couple times) where i pretended to be psychic, simply to disprove and show how easy it is for some people to both "know legitimate facts" and read people's reactions.

maybe i'lll retire and get a job on a psychic network. ; p

My grandparents are kicking me out to make room for someone else :/ I'm okay, but I'm not happy about it.

Thank you, your prayers are appreciated.

I can't tell you how many times I tried that. She does do the flopping thing though. My mom says she had to show me how to crawl... I've tried showing Addi how to crawl too, that hasn't worked
I'm sorry to hear that your grandparents are kicking you out! That's pretty rough that they're doing this at such a time. I'll pray that the Lord will open doors and will place you right where you need to be.

As for the Addi, little ones at that stage usually start those stages on their own. Children have different temperaments, some are comfortable with pushing through and exploring, some are content sitting there and looking around. Some parents tend to worry that because their babies are not accomplishing certain milestones by certain ages, their child must be delayed. But they're not, they're just figuring out their abilities and their bodies at their own pace. I agree with what wwjd_kilden said about placing wonderful toys in front of them for them to reach for. You can also help Addi by sitting her on your lap, holding her hands and showing her the 'one hand after the other' motions, as much as crawling is a gross motor skill it is also a co-ordination skill.

I hope things start looking up for you!

I struggle with those psycho police shows...
In concept, they aren't incredibly realistic. I don't think police stations have consultants, and they definitely don't outsmart them every single time. At the same time, though, gotta love the concept and how fun the shows can be. And as with any police show, if you're looking for realistic, watch 48 hours and documentaries like that. Fictional police procedural shows are not extremely realistic. I took a forensics and criminology class, and that knowledge has nearly killed my enjoyment of those shows. But I watch them for the plotline anymore.

I just tried this Key Lime Pie bar by Larabar, mainly sweetened only with fruit (it's sweetened with dates. It's not low sugar, but there's no added sugars). It is actually very good. It surprised me because I've tried other things sweetened by dates before, and I thought they were disgusting and flavorless. This is the opposite. It's got its sweetness and a good strong citrus flavor, with a hint of coconut. I got a blueberry muffin one, too, and I'm hoping it will be just as good. I'll try it tomorrow.

So are you going to be a forensics professional? must be fascinating.

The temperature outside reads 107 degrees.

I have the temperature inside my house set at 77 degrees.

So that means that by simply walking from my car into my house (and my garage is most likely hotter than 107), I'm going through a 30+ degree difference.

Aaaiii yaii yaii. Talk about a head rush.

I wish the solution could be a freezer full of ice cream but then I'd have to find a way to ROLL myself from the car into the house.

I'm actually planning on being a music major and doing music ministry, though certain sciences do fascinate me.
So, a musician? :)

I acually started a thread on hymns, and also one on Christian hard rock.

Do you have a place at a music school yet?

Blessings.

Not going specifically to a music school, but I have gotten accepted into college that provides a music course.

lil_christian: So do you have a preferred genre of music? traditional hymns? Christian contemporary? Christian hard rock, etc.?

Blessings.

I like doing contemporary music, and some hymns, though they don't have the traditional sound or "vibe" to them.

when i lived in vegas, i had to pack coolers and cooler bags in my car, and pack my groceries in them, and drive straight home, otherwise, things would melt and become damaged on the way home.

and by "things" i'm referring to sugar free fudgecicles, among other things. : )

on the flip side, i could top up my vitamin d just rolling my trash can to the curb. there's definitely something energizing about all the sunshine, though i realize you had that in FL too.

oh, and hey, a lot less flying bugs!!! : )

p.s. have you tried freezing fruit? i love frozen grapes, cherries, bananas, berries... and they make good "slushies" too...

Interesting; so do you have any favorite Christian bands/tracks?

Some bands produce songs that are suitable for congregational use; some tracks are more for individual edification and challenge, I think.

Blessings.
