Lost snowboarders - because in general we (snowbaorders) are really arrogant and need to see Christ's love.

When we were kids and would complain about anything in society, my dad...a veteran of two wars...would look us in the eye and ask, "So, what are YOU going to do about it?" and smile :)

- The strange, extreme weather and the horrific natural disasters we've seen in the past 6 years (giant tsunamis in Japan and Indonesia, earthquakes in Haiti, China and New Zealand, long, powerful rainstorms causing deadly mudslides in south America, extremely long droughts, powerful solar flares)
Im touched New Zealand made it to your list of disasters that perplex you, but I should probably state as a person who lives in Christchurch, NZ (the city that got the giant earthquakes, and the continuous aftershocks since), that for both NZ and Japan, earthquakes are very frequent for both of our countries.

Both Japan and New Zealand are young volcanic countries stuck between two constantly fighting giant underwater seismic plates the main one being the Pacific plate. Unlike Japan however, our original city planners were stupid enough to build a main city on an entire marsh with multiple twisting rivers with weak sandy soil, and continued to build using flimsy British brick housing styles from the 1800s and substandard housing structural rules. So, don't go freaking out that our city's earthquakes and the repercussions are contributing to some end of the world tribulation thing. Its just mother nature that finally revealed to us the stupidity of mankind.

And Japan invented the word tsunami. Theyve been experiencing them for thousands of years. Its not some scary new thing.

Yes, all of that is true, but I've seen earthquake data from a reputable source that shows that powerful quakes have grown exponentially stronger and more frequent in just the last decade. It was also talked about by a well-known pastor who does a radio show here. I'll have to go find it again.

Causes Im passionate about:

- Converting people to the idea that "smart" phones make you more stupid (and single lol).
- Allowing children to climb trees and explore places and get the odd graze on their knee.
- Making board games and lego popular again (kids and adults)
- Teaching women what true homemaking and submissiveness looks like (biblically and practically)
- Witnessing to my non christian female friends about Jesus and his idea of courtship and marriage.
- Hearing the stories of elderly people esp those who are socially isolated.
- Reaching out to victims of sexual assault and battering relationships from a biblical (not a radical feminist) perspective.
- Serving/loving my husband

As christians we most certainly are about sharing Christ and His love with the planet. In doing so, certain causes can come to our attention. What are some causes you are passionate about?

For me, it's mostly about kids and the elderly. Those who are unable to stand for themselves.

Most recently, it's Abolition International, an agency designed to battle human trafficking, an epidemic. Even in the USA. As I cop, I've even arrested PARENTS who considered their own children to be merchandise.
i heard about human trafficking, it really touched my heart!! I am teaching now about it to parents and teenagers!! I feel strongly that we should warn the people!!! Also i feel strongly to help the poor, i did so to by going to the Philippines and be the hands and feet of God

Science fiction is something we should all care deeply about. The best genre that gets short shrift by popular culture.

In general one needs to pay attention to their passion and the joy it brings in fulling that passion because it's one of the ways God reveals his gifting and calling of ones life

ok, so i'd just like to say i feel rally strongly about slavery for one thing. as humans, no one has the right to own another. i know slavery isnt as big of an issue as it used to be a few hundered years ago, but i think it shouldnt ever be forgotten, since if you forget the past youll repeat it in the future. i mean really, slaves were a reasonable source of income a few hundred years ago, as evident by the quotation "for he is his money." and so on, but really, slavesare people too!"yourself, and your male and female slaves, and your hired man and your foreign resident, those who live as aliens with you." since when has one person been worth more than another?

secondly, id like to say the consumerism, at least in america is ridiculous. only those with money succeed, and todays system has withheld the lower class to rise, pushing them to sin. in this case, shouldnt those with more prosperity than others, try their best to help those lower? give and share, till all have the same and no man or woman has what others may envy, i say!

and finally, id just like to say, i feel really strongly about the whole gay rights thing. i say, let them marry, let them join in matramony if thats what they so desire, because if they cant reproduce, theyll bring down the global population! weve already broken 7 billion, after all!

Actually there are more slaves on the planet now than ever in history, most of which are children/teens. I feel very strongly about this as well. It's horrible.

I also agree about consumerism, especially where our kids are concerned. Seems like a lot of parents would rather buy things for their kids, to pacify them and entertain them, rather than investing time in their children and encouraging creativity and ingenuity.

I wholeheartedly disagree with the last statement though. Marriage is too precious a God-given pearl to toss into the gutter. But that's in another thread. I'll leave it there. :)

Consumerism isn't necessarily an evil. I'll take Coca Cola assaulting someone's TV screen over the Leviathan dictating what I can and cannot purchase.

I'm passionate about our youth and college kids. I see how many of them run around like lost little dogs. So many don't even have a clue about the basic skills needed to survive, suggest as cooking, laundry, shopping, etc. Not only that, so many are being ruined by our education system. Our schools, for some reason, have this "one size fits all" mentality, and we have kids who learn in multiple types of ways.

I'm passionate about teaching other women about Christ, and how we should live our lives in a Godly manner. About True Biblical doctrine.

I'm not passionate about music, as people in real life think I am. I enjoy it, and yes, I earn a living because of music, but it's not what makes me.
