As christians we most certainly are about sharing Christ and His love with the planet. In doing so, certain causes can come to our attention. What are some causes you are passionate about?

For me, it's mostly about kids and the elderly. Those who are unable to stand for themselves.

Most recently, it's Abolition International, an agency designed to battle human trafficking, an epidemic. Even in the USA. As I cop, I've even arrested PARENTS who considered their own children to be merchandise.

I feel strongly about obedience to God.

I feel strongly that when we obey, He will give us more to be obedient with.

I feel strongly that it is practically impossible to be a successful Christian without practicing the things that Jesus preached about.

I feel strongly about letting go of our fears and our hang ups and seizing what Christ has put before us. Not thousands of miles away in Africa or thousands of people in an auditorium but, in our day to day lives.

When we are accountable and hold ourselves to His standard with obedience in ALL THINGS, He will hear our prayers. God is a faithful God, unchanging and Holy. He is all about love and if we cannot love the people who are all around us, He is by no means going to ignore why we are doing what we are doing. He KNOWS our hearts and our minds. There is nothing hidden before Him. We should treat our lives, not as if he is merely watching but as if we want to be a part of what He is doing.

Excellent, Liamson. God is our passion. He is the fire that spurs us to:

He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
Micah 6:8

We all have a part in the body of Christ. There are things He's calling us to do, at home and abroad.

I have a passion for the ministry of Prison Fellowship Ministries. Their primary ministry obviously is to those who are incarcerated, however they also reach out to the families of those who are in prison. Their programs for inmates not only are leading people to the Lord, but also reducing re-incarceration rates due to life skills being taught and mentoring programs for convicts being released on parole.

Very cool, Oncefallen. That's exactly what I'm talking about. Putting your faith into ACTION.

MATTHEW 25:
34Then the king will say to those on his right, &#8216;Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. <A name=48025035>35h For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, 36naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.&#8217;

JAMES 2: 14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, &#8220;Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,&#8221; but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

18 But someone will say, &#8220;You have faith; I have deeds.&#8221;
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that&#8212;and shudder.
20 You foolish person, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless[d]? 21 Was not our father Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. 23 And the scripture was fulfilled that says, &#8220;Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,&#8221;[e] and he was called God&#8217;s friend. 24 You see that a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone. 25 In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? 26 As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

I feel strongly about:

- Employers being forced by the govt. to provide free contraception to their female employees through their insurance companies (against it)

- The perpetual collapse of the eurozone's economy

- The inaccuracy of the published unemployment numbers in the US (it doesn't count those whose benefits have run out, or the under-employed). A better indicator of economic health is the GDP and GNP (Gross Domestic Product and Gross National Product numbers).

- The disturbing attitude for socialism in this country (and the fact that they won't admit that what they want is socialism).

- The rising price of gas and food... its absolutely ridiculous! Gas costs about 1.5 times the price of milk and food prices have gone way up as the packages it comes in have shrunk.

- The TSA's free reign of power and abuse over flying passengers in the US.

- The proliferation of atheism and anti-christian sentiment in the world today. Anti-catholic sentiment is even worse.

- The strange, extreme weather and the horrific natural disasters we've seen in the past 6 years (giant tsunamis in Japan and Indonesia, earthquakes in Haiti, China and New Zealand, long, powerful rainstorms causing deadly mudslides in south America, extremely long droughts, powerful solar flares)

and last but not least...

- Ferris Beuller not coming out with a sequel! (Come on, Ferris!! Pleeeeeeeease???)

I've discovered over the past few years especially how much i hate women being abused. Verbal, physical, emotional, whatever. It just really gets to me.

As I was reading Ugly's post and remembering how upset I get when I see the helpless being abused I thought about all of the things God sees on the earth every second of every day...the stuff we DON'T see. I can't imagine how much it hurts the heart of Perfect Love. I can't even begin to imagine His patience. Seriously.

My passion and things I absolutely feel strongly about are children with cancer. This is why I am in college - to show these children that they can be kids and that people care about them while they go on the fight of their lives against cancer. I have a passion for children in general, though, especially those who do not have positive influences in their lives. Along with that, I feel for the elderly that do not get visitors and for the elderly that are not able to make their ends meet.

1. The Rule of Law - The ultimate binding principle of a civil order. If it exists and is respected, most other things will fall into place.

2. Communal Virtue- Because you can't have the former without this.

3. Autism and mental retardation in general- They are people too. Often sweeter and more pleasant people than us. There is a place for them.

4. Getting good people with correct worldviews in office to address these issues.

Everytime I see injustice especially in very cruel ways, it just makes my blood boil. Wether it is women being abused, children being abused, or religious or ethnic minorities...I just can't stand it. I hate when people with power abuse of their high position for their own benefits, regardless of all the damage they are doing to others.
I feel like I should learn how to be more like Christ everyday so everone could see at least a little bit of him in me so they get interested in gettin' to know him...because that's the only source of salvation and comfort, and the only hope for everyone who is suffering and for the ones who are not as well.

It`s funny that you mention it, just today we were talking about this in school and I couldn't help but feel sad when they were talking about them as if they were a burden to society. Comments like ''those people cost 1 million to the government'' even if they were not meant to be disrespectful are just SO wrong....maybe it's true, but should we be like the nazis and just ''erradicate'' the problem since they are in the womb to make it easier? What's the difference between that and just killing every grown-up handicapped person we find? Is a society free from autism something to be proud about if that means ''clearing'' humanity from people born with genetic errors? That's just so wrong....

I feel stongly about stopping and talking to people holding signs on street corners. I have got to know quite a few panderers. The Lord leads. I just try to learn a little about their obvious plight and I pray my words help them become both inspired and knowing who is true Love, and, most i let know I admire their spirit and tell them they have great gifts if they can handle standing on a street corner and being rejrcted by so many people . God gave them their gifts too , I tell them always, the Lord leads . Then I ask to pray with them, like 'Cole' last week who was writing out a signs:

'I need money for art supplies and a coffee'

I gave him $2 while he was sitting and writing the sign. I hope for people that are struggling. God is my great Hope, so, it is very little for me to help others receive a little more hope in life. God has a plan for everybody, never think that God does not want you to give hope to hurting others that are in your path...

I can just about guarantee you, He hopes you stop :)

Even when reducing the cost of keeping them alive to an equation, the cost would be microscopic in comparison to what we dole out via wasteful welfare programs.

The irony is that in an effort to "clean" or define it as a "problem" we really weaken society. Not only do we question the sacred nature of life, but we also forget that even people with retardation could have a special place in society that advances us. Those with down syndrome are often very good workers and friendly ears. The autistic members of our population are potentially gifted. Once minorly autistic Jew who fled Germany gave us the Theory of Relativity and opened the doors to nuclear technology.

Is this person's passion unwarranted/unprovoked easy insults and contentious name-calling/fingerpointing? Are we to all sleep better at night knowing he's standing guard on that wall?

Have a little respect please. Zero is older and, judging by your comment, wiser than you. Just because you don't agree with something doesn't give you the right to condemn it.
