I was originally wearing my burgundy cashmere v-neck sweater, but Jullianna forced me at gun point to change to the tank top (and when you've got a slightly unstable red-head pointing a 45 magnum at you, you don't argue with her, you just do what your told!!!).
Well, if you would just wash your clothes, she wouldn't have to deal with the stink.

Is that what happens when you work a crowd?
Nope, that's what happens when you run 200 amps worth of concert lighting and the PA system through a 100 amp breaker and the band's light guy says "I'm sure it'll be okay..." You end up with total darkness, total silence, and a 20 minute drum solo.

There are an awful lot of you creepers in this thread. Funny, I haven't noticed if anyone's creeping on my profile. I guess I just don't care :p

Well, I didn't see it, but I heard they had two power outages during rehearsals. They knew they had power problems...

I can deal with power outages. What scares me are the stage/set guys who don't know what they're doing.

That awkward moment when a guest starts typing in the chatroom with colors bright enough to burn out your retinas.

That was because of a freak gust of wind. No outdoor stage like that could have stood up to it.

Well, yeah, the wind gave it a push, but the stage wasn't designed/built properly. There was absolutely no strength for a sideways load due to lack of truss triangulation. The entire setup was on vertical stilts with no triangular braces...OSHA and others pitched a fit when they inspected the wreckage...

Second thing, thought State Police and the State Fair people protested, the people in charge (promoters, band, stage manager) decided to continue the show, even though a severe thunderstorm was on the way. Any number of people should have shut the thing down. No one did. (Though supposedly the State Police Captain and the head of the State Fair were headed onstage to make a cancellation/postponement announcement, but they didn't make it in time.)

That awkward moment when....

Someone's talking while you're trying to concentrate, so you distractedly chuckle and say "That's neat".

Then it slowly sinks in that they just told you their cat died.

This happens to me WAY too often.

Niner Niner, Julianna, come in. We've got a cat serial killer on our hands here. Armless and dangerous!

...that awkward moment when your Mom is emailing friends telling them about her best friend who has cancer and was starting chemo, and your Mom puts 'LOL' at the bottom of the emails... (It used to mean Lots of Love...)
