The following account is a collaboration of Tourist and JesusLives of their most recent adventure that took place on Saturday October 4, 2014. As with all of their adventures this is a true story.

We were going to meet for the second time on Oct. 2 in our room at Walt Disney World at the Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa. JesusLives had previously reserved the room in our names (our real names) and had planned the itinerary for the entire weekend. She had expressed a desire to attend church, as was her custom, Saturday morning at a local SDA church. My only task for this weekend was to find the address for the closest church to where we are staying. After spending an hour online I located a SDA church less than 4 miles from our room and printed out the driving directions.
Saturday morning we left in plenty of time for the morning service. I was the driver and JesusLives was the navigator. We started out and encountered light traffic. The instructions were not the best and while we eventually found the right road we could not locate the church. It was like the Blond leading the Blind. After driving for what seemed like an hour she yells, “Pull in here honey!” pointed excitedly at this building. It was the correct address but there was a problem. It was not an SDA church but looked to be a Jewish Temple. “I’m sorry” I said throwing the directions on the dash, “you give me one small task and I managed to even screw this up.” I was feeling a little disgusted with myself. “If we go in that place the next thing you know we will be wearing those little beanies and lighting candles on a menorah. We are getting out of here, now!” I was about to start the car when she grabbed my arm. “We are going inside” she said determinedly. “No, we are most definitely not going into that place!” I said, equally determined.
Well, I lost that little battle of the wills. A minute later we were walking up to the door of the building holding hands. I believe that she was holding my hand tightly because she knew that I would try to get away. There was only one other car in the parking lot. There was also another problem that we would soon find out. This was certainly not a Seventh Day Adventist church. It was not a Jewish temple either as we had earlier surmised. We were very wrong about this as well. This was going to be one of our most interesting adventures. “You first dear “I said pointing at the door, “Lead the way.” Actually God was leading the way and had been the entire trip even though we did not realize this at the time.

When I realized that we were not at an Adventist church I told tourist that God wanted us to be here for some reason and that now we were on a mission from God. When he said we weren’t going in I said oh yes we are as this is the church God has picked out for us today. So we searched for the front door.
Walking in about 10 feet into the building I noticed an older man sitting on a pew lined up against the wall the room was open with lots of carpets/rugs on the floor and many shining statues up front with many deities represented. I also noticed he did not have any shoes on his feet and now I felt as though tourist and I were two bulls in a china shop so I asked do we take off our shoes and he kindly answered yes, outside, to which we promptly turned around and took our shoes off outside the door.
Coming back in I approached the man and asked is this a SDA church which he said no, then I asked if there was a speaker and no was that reply. So he said you go pray before the alter/deities and I asked, do we then meditate, and he said yes. So that is what tourist and the Blond did although we were not praying to the lifeless deities in front of us but to the living God in Heaven.
When we finished our prayers we went and sat down for a few minutes and this is what God prompted me to do. I took out a twenty with two different pieces of literature one on the second coming of Jesus and with the money I went to the older gentleman and asked where do I put the offering for your temple, and these are for you, handing him the Christian literature which he took.
He then said, come a gift for you, and tourist and the Blond followed him to a table that had a liquid, which he said, open your hands, and we did. He poured a small amount of the liquid there and we drank it (tasted like green tea to me) then he gave us each an apple and a sweet mix of raisins, nuts and something I could not identify. With our gifts of food we thanked him and left the building.
Earlier for our devotional we had read John 14 and John16 which was more than enough for a sermon this Sabbath day, but the real blessing for both of us was to be able to go on that mission from God and share Jesus with this wonderful Hindu man.
