That's kinda sad and romantic at the same time :)
Love is a special kind of crazy.

Really? I understand that if she was allergic to a bunch of stuff, but yeah...

And please tell me you no longer have a Crackberry.
Not allergies. Just dislikes.

I've been Android for the last 3 years, Ames. I love the OS, but I do miss the Crackberry keyboard. To me, it's still the keyboard against all other mobile keyboards are judged by. My current Droid is all touchscreen, and I'm fine with it, but it's not the same. Meh.

You can also look, smell, be, etc however you want (if not around people) with no worry or care about what others thought or saw.
It's funny, though, because I'm actually more concerned with presentation and grooming NOW than I was when I was attached. It's not that I was a slob, or stopped taking care of myself (I've always been a gym rat), but once I knew I was loved and accepted, I was content to wear clothes that fit 'okay' rather than fitting exactly right, and I stopped bothering with my contacts and just wore my glasses.

Once I was single again, and came to grips with letting The Ex go, the first thing I did was get my contact lens prescription updated, and then get my shirts tailored to fit better. I decided that maybe I should look just a little sharper so that maybe someone would notice me. Shallow, I know. But in my line of work, I don't make many new friends, and few of my friends are available, and the few that are, I don't consider to be...viable prospects. So, maybe I'll bump into a stranger and I should look my best. *shrug*

Despite having a significant other I define singleness as being unmarried, so I'll post here if you don't mind. :p

the fun part about being single is knowing that second to God, my dad is still the first and only man who truly has my heart. :D Also, living with my teenage brother is a blast and he's one of the reasons I love living at home. It's like... living with one of the minions from Despicable Me. ;)

Let's see...

I don't have to listen to him complain about how small my car is. (Also an issue with my ex. He was 6'2" and my previous car was too small for his liking.)
What kind of car do you have? I'm 6'3", and I love small cars.

At the time I had a 2005 Ford Focus. Now I drive a Jetta. Nothing made my ex happy. I could have been driving a big SUV, and he would have had an issue with it.

Geez... he sounds very vain. I'll bet he thinks that song is about him.

Sounds like it, as those are normal small cars. For a minute, I thought you might have had something like this:

The thing I love about being single is that when God gives me a poem or article to write, no matter the time or place, I can just get up and write it.

I can spend time on CC talking to people like you all who are single just like me and are not worried about it. We are not fretting and going around whining because we single. We have realized that it's a time to focus our attention on the Lord and know that He is going to bring that Special Someone into our lives at the Kairos (Appointed Time). We don't want to rush God.

Being single has shown me to be patient and to see what God is doing in my life.

I am able to find out who I am in this world. This first three months out would have been so different if I had someone in my life taking up a lot of my time. I have been able to focus on God and look at myself. The world has changed so much in 13 years.

For no joke, being single comes with so much fun, but no one can deny that it leaves a vacuum in every man or woman longing to be to be filled. Remember, it is not good for a man or a woman to be alone. God knew the importance of partnership and thus established it.

A few things come to mind.

I can spend all day under a car without causing anyone emotional distress. ;)

My diet consists of donuts, PBJ, ramen and Mountain Dew (Don't tell my mother).

Nobody objects to my car being the main object of my love and adoration. :D

And one really important thing, I can sleep with the window open and the fan on.
