1. what's on your spirtitual bucket list?

Hmmm...I don't know as if I even have one. Which funny,'cause I tend to make little lists now & then. I know when I was younger my goal was to have my own recording studio & a Christian heavy metal/ industrial band that would be so revolutionary, and amazing...that we'd play in places or minister in areas normal Christians wouldn't set foot in. Back in the day very few Christian artists were doing these types of things, but now I think it's pretty common. I don't really have any "spiritual" thing's as far as a "to do" list, other than I just want to grown more in understanding the fullness of God's grace & mercy to me,so that I can pass that on to other's. Love more. Love & give 100% of myself w/out any reservation or hidden motive. I guess I didn't really answer your question very well. Sorry.

2. what's your favorite time of year, and why?

Fall. Hands down. Period. I love the smells of the decaying leaves. The crispness in the air. The sounds the leaves make ..*crunch crunch crunch* when walking through them. I love the colors of the trees. The sound the wind makes. The way the sun shines through the trees. I love that it's perfect weather for a hoodie. It's awesome weather to snuggle in...never too hot or too cold. It's just the best time of the year, and it makes me happy to be alive.

3. is there a specific job or general occupation that you'd enjoy the experience of having for a day or even a whole week? why?

Does winning the Lottery count? lol
I dunno...I think all I've ever had were general occupation jobs. I think it would be awesome to be a surgeon. Nothing really grosses me out,and if I had had the brains and/or discipline I'd have studied to be some sort of doctor. I think it would be amazingly interesting to be inside people & help fix them.

1. what's on your spirtitual bucket list?

i'm not sure if this makes sense to anyone, but a handful of years ago while i was involved with BSA, we were studying the gospel of John. it affected me rather profoundly, and i felt like it was like reading this book for the first time. i began doing word studies on so many of the passages that intrigued me. because i've always expressed myself mostly through writing, i began to document thoughts and impressions that became something like my own commentary. i did start this again with the gospel of mark, but i'm only as far as chapter 5 or so.

2. what's your favorite time of year, and why?

probably spring. even though it's so soggy around here (not my favorite place for spring) i find so much joy watching the floral roll call --watching the color emerge from their icy cocoons.. around here, the first things we see are the

narcissus and tiny crocus, then hyacinth and tulips, then the lovely fragrant lilacs perfume the air, followed by the tall and willowy irises... and then it just explodes from there.

but it all starts with the bright green foliage of the narcissus (daffodil). that's when the spring show starts.

3. is there a specific job or general occupation that you'd enjoy the experience of having for a day or even a whole week? why?

i am more than mildly obsessed with the coroner's job. since it's such a polar extreme of what i do for a living, its one of those jobs that i think i would've enjoyed a great deal. i think the human body is amazing, and i love the whole problem-solving aspects of what a coroner does.

i don't think i'd need a whole week, but a day or two would probably resolve any pressing curiosity. also, i don't know how long i could handle the smells--i have an acutely developed sense of smell.

1. what's on your spirtitual bucket list?
I'm totally gonna memorize the entire Bible.
...okay, maybe not. I totally have no idea how to answer this question, which brings up several questions inside my head that I might want to figure out some answers to.

2. what's your favorite time of year, and why?
It's kind of really a toss-up between spring, when things are first starting to peek out of the earth and the days are warmer and longer and everything just feels alive...
Or fall, because...hoodies! Knee-high boots! Crunchy leaves under my feet! Sweaters! Golden aspen leaves paving dirt roads! And a zillion other things.

I want to be a city planner just long enough to really screw up several city blocks.

What is on your spiritual bucket list?

Going to the Holy Land. Preaching in front of 1,000,000+
people somewhere in the world.

What is your favorite time of year and why?

Winter. It's quietest for me this time of year , work is slower, usually, I can spend more time with God, not to mention, you, peeps :)

Is there a specific job or general occupation that you'd enjoy the experience of having for a day or even a whole week? Why?

Being a pastor of a church congregation. Just want to do it, someday, maybe, longer than a week, too, a lot longer. The Lord leads :)

A.1: I would also like doing this word studies just_monicat, as I express myself better in writing too. When I sit down by myself and start to reflect on something. I have TONS of verses that I like. I'm underlining all of them in my bible. I'd like to write my meditation on each one of them.

A.2: I like summer cuz it's fun going to the beach, enjoying restaurant and coffee shops patios, friends gathering over BBQ, games n' fun time. Going camping, hiking, zipline and all the fun activities that can be done in God's beautiful nature. :)

A.3: I'd like to be a prosecutor or a journalist because I'm very detailed oriented comes with the job and I know how to ask targeted questions. :D So there, now you know if you have a job opening, hire me!! :D

1. What was the last fictional book you read?

2. When was the last time you cried?

3. The last road trip I took was...

OK - Answer these three questions about yourself. No skipping! If you don't want to share, just wait until there are new questions. After five people respond (I'll start - - it's only fair), then whoever posts in post #5 will ask three new questions after answering the previous questions.

These directions seem complicated, but I think it will be clear once we start (famous last words). Here I go:

1. What was the last fictional book you read?
I am currently reading "Wildfire" by Nelson DeMille. Post-911 domestic terrorism thriller.

2. When was the last time you cried?
I read a facebook post from my 92 year old friend that shared that her sister had passed away and requested prayer. I prayed, expecting things to be quick and mechanical. While I prayed for my friend's emotional and spiritual comfort, I had a great sense of loss. I felt the loss of someone who not only appreciated the cultural things she lived out, but of someone who had experiential knowledge of all these things. She would have seen "Gone With the Wind" and other movie classics in the theaters. She would have heard about the attack on Pearl Harbor as it happened. She would have conducted She would have conducted "Duck and Cover" drills when teaching in the school systems.

Anyway, as I prayed about the loss of someone who lived these things with her, tears ran down my face. This used to happen all the time when I did intercessory prayer, particularly in groups, which I hated. I don't mind this, but I didn't like always being asked if I was okay. Apparently, God is bringing this back to my life..

3. The last road trip I took was...
Camping last year with the kids from the Sacramento area to a site near Crescent City in the Redwood Forest. We also made a detour into Oregon because it was there. The kids missed their pets at home, so they adopted a banana slug and named it "Fred." My kids are weird.

Your turn!
Catherder,

1.) What was the last fictional book I read? I dont read fiction, I prefer true-life stories. :)

2.) When was the last time I cried? The day before yesterday, while replying to a post by J~K~2, about losing a dog of hers. My reply was how I lost my cat Rusty and I started bawling while I was typing my reply. :(

3.) The last road trip I took was...too many years ago to even remember where I went!! Lol! :p
