Hey everybody, I brought this video to this forum because I know that many would not touch the BDF with a ten foot pole. It's very informational as well as entertaining. I hope you like it & recommend it to your family & friends.
Fell free to comment on things you may like/dislike.
May God open our eyes to the truths of this video.:)

Has anyone watched this thru & found something informational? Something surprising or convicting? I would love to hear your observations. We live at a time where beliefs & standards are polarizingly different while everyone thinks "Nothing 's wrong, I'm good".
For years I saw dreamcatchers & knew nothing of the truth of their demonic connections.

I tried to listen to the video. I really did.

But it reminds me too much of the experience I had with an Assemblies of God Pentecostal church I sometimes refer to as "The No-Owls Church."

I know this video has nothing but good intentions and some useful information. I'm not into having anything in my home that I know is associated with pagan rituals either. But a married couple in this particular church took it to the next level.

They once did a "prayer cleansing" on my home and insisted on things like, the wife noticed acardboard produce box I was using for storage. The family farm name on the box was "Hellenstein," and the wife didn't like that "Hell" was part of that name -- and so, it had to be thrown away.

What would they have told the poor family -- that they needed to change their name?!

This cross stitch angel picture I did had to be not only thrown away, but cut up into pieces so no one could dig through the trash and take it home, because they insisted it had the same spirit attached to as the scene in The Passion of the Christ when the devil is holding the baby.

I was just a teenager when I started on these pictures (it's a series and I had completed several of them,) putting my heart, soul, and hundreds of hours of work into them, but no, they "obviously" had a demon behind them, and had to be cut up and thrown away (I mean, can't you see the demon right there?!)

View attachment 265920

Furthermore, they also insisted that people throw out anything in their homes with ANY images or references to "creatures of the night" -- including bats... and owls (which I happen to love.) Anyone with ANY home decor featuring any kind of nocturnal animal/anything associated with "darkness" needed to get rid of it because it could possibly be harboring demons.

But I was young, extremely emotionally vulnerable at the time, had been accused of rebellion by other church members, and was desperately wanting to follow God -- so I listened to every scrap of their "spiritual" advice.

Years later when I met Lynx and told him about this, he mentioned, "You know, cats are nocturnal..." and I was pretty sure the members of that church weren't going to be getting rid of their cats!!! This finally made me realize how some people cross the borders into a kind of spiritual insanity, and when they preach a good game, it can be hard to realize you're slipping across the line.

I am now the proud owner of 6 adorable stuffed owls, each with their own name and personality quirks (each one has a part of my personality projected into him or her,) and I frequently make jokes in reference to them in chat and here on the forum.

They all love God and frequently remind me to thank Him for His goodness.

And, owning said owls... may or may not be just a little slice of getting back at what these well-meaning church people took from me.

Ok, I have an owl that is a plant stand that I hand painted and he comes out every fall. And I do not give a rip who thinks it's demonic. You touch my owl, you're gettin' a good ol' fashioned a-whippin !! I'm a perfectionist when it comes to crafts and it takes me forever to finish a project and I torture myself over it. So when it's done, you shake your head and say how lovely it is. If you value your life.

Your story reminds me of my uncle when he was married. They had no kids but they gave really nice gifts to their nieces and nephews. But on his wifes side, every thing they bought the kids for Christmas had some kind of spirit. Her brother would always ask for the receipt and take back whatever the kids were given. My uncle having little patience to begin with finally gave them a card with money and that was the end of the story. Some people are just kooky about that stuff. They see the devil around every corner. I was told where I walk is Holy ground. So demons better be getting out the way when I come through!!

Snakes are also evil, mostly because of the whole devil in the garden of Eden thing. That's the reason I run over snakes whenever I see them in the road. Or that's my excuse, because I just hate snakes. Either way, they are dead if I see them.

I'm sorry, stories are coming to mind tonight. My BIL hates snakes. He's an old country boy and wouldn't want to admit that he's scared to death of them. So one afternoon he was doing some work outside around the house and saw a snake. Well he grabbed his shovel and cut that sucker in two!! He put it in a bottle and we , parents and I , were visiting and my sisters husband comes with this snake in the bottle that he chopped up. You'd think he slain a bear. It didn't look very big or scary but we all "ohhhhed" at the snake that just might be poison, that my BIL caught and killed.

A week or so later I got the rest of the story. After we left, a day or so later, one of the young boys in the neighborhood came knocking on their door. Her hubby answered and the boy said " Have you seen my pet snake? He was about this long...." Yep, we have never let him live down that he killed a little kids pet snake. Pretty sure he didn't show him the bottle. smh The poison snake. lol

Ha! That reminds me of the old evangelist who was asked "Do you pray the demons out of your hotel room before you go to bed?"

He knew James 2:19. "Nah. I'm a one-God preacher. If satan wants to lie under my bed and shake all night, that's his business."

Humorous answer, but also a good point. We don't have to walk around afraid that a demon will jump us from a teddy bear that a troubled person used to own. We have authority, and they can either leave us alone or get kicked out. If we know our authority they usually seem to just leave us alone.

Ha!! I love that!! Great answer! I totally believe we have the power in Jesus name. There is no need to fear. PTL

That's just it.... we think our "authority" keeps all the devils away & shaking in their boots.
There are demons that go to church more than we do.
Tell me, does your "authority" keep the devil from tempting you? Has it kept you sinless?
Satan enters EVERY door we open to him, & stays until we get it prayed thru.
Jesus said "resist the devil, & he will flee from you." That alone shows that "authority" does not put the believer on spiritual autopilot to victory & spiritual success. We ALL still have to work out our salvation with fear & trembling.
Such thinking as yours is foolishness at best & destructive at worst.

Speaking of blood. Blood is used in sacrifices, therefore blood can have a demonic spirit attached to it. You know what that means everybody. Need to empty your 'house' of blood.
And what does that say of Jesus blood?
Nothing. Why? Because things are not evil, or possessed. God created so many of the things people say have demons attached or are for evil. But that's not how it works. How people use things, their intent, is the problem. Not what they used to accomplish it.

No, it makes perfect sense. I am in no danger of using a dreamcatcher for the same reason I won't use a ouija board. I have no use for it.

Also I understand that if something is proclaimed to have spiritual power, first it is either a lie or the truth. If it is the truth it has to get its power from somewhere, and that somewhere is either God or not. And since there is not even a pretense of the dreamcatcher being from God, even if it does have any spiritual power I will not get one.

NOW do you see why we stay out of BDF? Two pages into this thread, and someone is calling me both foolish and destructive, without even knowing anything about me. I mean... I know you're used to such name calling... Over in the BDF. But it doesn't really have any place here. If you must throw insults, please go throw them over in BDF.

Just like that... even if we don't know whether they are there or not.
Knowing our authority is NOTHING without discernment.

Yeah. I covered the discernment part in the part of my post that you cut out of the quote.

Did you even read that part? Or did you just stop at "Ooooh, there's something I can disagree with!" and hit the quote button?

I wonder what does an evil spirit use to Influence people to fall Into a cult.

The most prevalent answer seems to be -- people -- along with a catalyst of human unrest, distress, and dissatisfaction.

Every cult has a name attached to it:

* Jonestown -- Jim Jones

* Waco -- David Koresh

* Heaven's Gate -- Marshall Applewhite

And the list goes on.

It's pretty much a hallmark of cults that they all have a charistmatic leader who is able to win over people who are unhappy with their current situation. I suppose evil spirits might even consider such circumstances "easy pickings" in a culture that is taught they "deserve" to have everything handed to them. It's not surprise that so many are drawn to silver-tongued, natural leaders who tell people exactly what they want to hear (whether in the form of cults or political leaders, which some might argue are the same thing.)

Personally, I don't think everything evil is the work of demons -- humans are plenty evil in and of themselves because of the fall into sin. I think there are plenty of people doing evil just on their own, without the help of any demonic forces (though of course, we know why demons would be attracted to such people.)

But even if someone does fall into the study of a cult or all-out devotion, it's pretty much always because of other people, in some way.

Even the rebellious person who gets into "alternative" symbols, statues, music, and paraphernalia alone at home is still following the lead of things made by other people -- whether or not it was influenced by an evil spirit.

Knowing our authority is NOTHING without discernment.

There seems to be between knowing and accepting that you have authority in Christ and praying for His constant guidance and help with walking in that authority vs. seeing demons around every corner.

I've been around people who get to a point where they see demons in literally everything, as other posters here have described. One of our church leaders even said that she had attended weekly Bible studies that felt more like testimonies about demons rather than Jesus: "The demons really got me this week, everything went wrong;" "The demons are attacking my finances:", "The demons are oppressing me no matter what I do."

When people start talking about/are more concerned with demons and evil spirits in a ratio that's equal to or even more than how much they talk about God's power and how we are to keep striving for His help, I know it's time to check out from whatever they're saying and move on.

Yes, the devil and forces of darkness are formidable foes, but I don't see anywhere in the Bible where we are to give them all this credit -- or even acknowledgement -- for holding us back, influencing our decisions, or clinging on to things we bring into our homes.

Sure, it's possible. And I do believe in personal discernment, which can be different for different people.

For myself, I tend not to buy or accept anything second-hand. There's absolutely nothing wrong with thrift stores, etc., and I know many people, especially in today's economy, who buy most everything they need from them. But for me, I've always had a funny feeling about second-hand things from strangers -- especially clothing. I'm always wondering what the person did while wearing the clothes (such as being in a forbidden relationship, etc.) And so I pay more, but have fewer things, but a lot more peace.

And of course, even though I buy new, it doesn't mean the people behind the making of those things are somehow all doing good, Christian things. It also doesn't mean people who buy used are doing anything wrong, because buying new isn't an option in many cases (especially furniture, etc.)

But for whatever reason, I don't feel comfortable with most used items and that's just me. I thank God for what I can afford, make the most discerning choices I can, and praise Him for His provision.

As for walking on eggshells about everything because there might be a demonic influence.

The best story I heard was about a woman who was very overweight and went to a prayer/healing meeting. She told the prayer leaders, "Brothers and sisters, I need for you to pray this demon of FAT off of me!!"

The prayer leaders looked at her, thought for a minute, and said, "Sister, this kind can only come out by prayer -- and FASTING."

A lot -- not all, but sometimes, a lot -- of what goes wrong for us -- is US -- which, for some reason, is still one of the hardest truths to accept.

So true.
Matthew 26:41
English Standard Version
Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Luke 21:36
New International Version
Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”
Many will pray, but few will watch. To be on our guard, the watchman on the wall, guarding ourselves, watching outside for what's coming & inside the walls for those who will destroy from inside the walls of the church.
I would rather be found going a little over the top with warnings than to not watch for anything, feeling it's none of my business.
"Am I my brother's keeper?"
Yes, there are those finding devils around every corner, but most are oblivious to the ones sitting on their shoulder as they walk in the House of God.

I'm sorry if you think I'm doing this for the pleasure of rattling your cage, because I'm not. While we are required to tell folks the truth, we're not required to make them listen.
It is my hope to post a few of these videos in different forums to reach those I don't normally interact with. Hoping someone would learn something they didn't know about or bring something back to their remembrance.
But since you have clearly made up your mind, I will bid you g'day. :)

Maybe it's just a matter of the wrong audience...

I can see your intentions are good. But I'm pretty sure nobody in this forum really needs that message. We're not that ignorant.

On the other hand... People who do mess around with that stuff are not likely to receive this message well.

I don't think your message does have a good audience. Good intentions, technically accurate message, but I think this is a case of symptoms instead of causes. You're trying to treat the symptoms instead of the things that lead to the symptoms.

Either way, I don't think you're going to find a very receptive audience for this message. Good luck though.
