Was attempting to reply to what you said about people who have no attachment in that they act like animals? Don't worry if I've confused the issue. Is late here so my thinking may be at a tangent.
It seemed to me that you were saying if there is no sexual relationship, then it is just "on the surface" and does not "cut to the soul". This would be belittling many Christians here who have fallen in love with people, been heartbroken, and have not had a sexual relationship. It is like you are saying if they fall in love, but don't have sex, then their love was just "on the surface".
