As for how to define an attractive person or not, if you're attracted to that person, then that person is attractive to you. Or am I wrong??
No, I think you're right. There are some men that I don't think are all that attractive, but many other women swoon over. What each person is attracted to is different, though to some extent there is an agreement on what is considered "beautiful". Media helps to play a role in that.

As for the lines above, I've never had the opportunity to use any of those. That may be because guys don't come up to me. Well, there was this one creepy, stalker guy at work, who was not quite twice my age (but, judging from the grey in his hair, not far from it) - asked for my phone number, and before I could tell him that I don't give my number to strangers, he instead gave me his, told me to "call him" if I were interested in going out. And, to flatter me even more, he said that if I wasn't interested, I should give his number to my single friends. The guy would have dated anyone. Lucky me, I feel really special. Yeesh. Kept seeing him hanging around the store over the next week.

Yeah, I don't attract male attention very often, but when I do it's usually something like that. *shudders*

It sounds like you have a high risk of being an attractive woman. I am planning on another silly thread called "5 easy ways to tell if you are an attractive woman"

*LAUGHING!!*

Zero--I am eagerly awaiting your next thread, as I've been waiting for a reliable tool with which to determine whether or not I am attractive.

Please don't delay, as the fate of women everywhere who wonder if they're attractive or not rests in the palms of your wise (and unbiased) methods of judgment! :D

I have never tried asking "attractive" males out as you describe a supposed attractive person--the one who "turns everyone's heads", etc., simply because I knew they would turn me down.

I learned my lesson once and never forgot it! When I was in my teens, I asked a guy I worked with to a school dance--he was very popular at work and all the girls liked him. He told me he'd love to go, but had to work.

I found out that yes, he did have to work (until 2 PM--the dance started at 7 PM)--and he went out with a friend of mine that night instead (not to the dance, but another event--and, I found out she had asked him after me, so he wasn't turning me down because he had accepted her invitation first.)

Stubborn as I am, I still tried asking guys out at various times in my life and would often get the same answers as what you're telling us "attractive women" will resort to.

I have since learned to amend my humiliating habits and now generally refrain from any such foolish actions! (This may be part of why I haven't had a boyfriend in 7 years, but hey...)

Am waiting to take your test of attractivenes... If I flunk, maybe I'll have my answer as to why they turned me down! :p

Wow, that thread could seriously help me! I've been wondering for a while now if I might be one of these "attractive women" I hear so much about. Hmm....

Kim, I've always been too timid to directly ask a guy out, but on the rare occasion that I would actually start to show interest in a guy, he'd definitely start avoiding me. I wear deodorant, so it can't be that... Hmm, if those lines don't work, maybe WE should resort to cheesy pickup lines, like we hear in movies! Those just HAVE to work, right? ;)

That's okay, I'll stick to occupying my time with reading my books (and, when I like to mix things up, playing video games - yes, I play video games). Of course, that's when I have time, because between work at church activities at the moment, I feel as though I am rarely home, lol. Maybe it's better that I am not dating anyone; I don't have any time for a life outside of work and church! Ooooh, I know, I could invite a guy to come help out at youth with me...heehee.... Well, that'd probably just scare him away. Our kids can be terrifyingly hyper, not to mention loud. :D

Well i really hate to disappoint you guys (Seoulsearch and Jennifleur) but my 5 ways to tell if youre an attractive woman will be solely for entertainment and totally unrealistic so don't be surprised if you and everyone you've ever known don't pass the 'test'.

I am still working on it but here's a part of it:

How to tell if you're an attractive woman:

5) The guys who stalk you have created their own support group

4) You make paper-mache jewelry out of unsolicited guys' phone numbers

OK, Ive decided to also do a serious list of how you can tell if youre attrative and it will apply to both men and women. :) I'll be writing from experience of course! :D

Part of me doesnt want to do it because it might make some people sad because they might think they are unattracive after reading it, but I will make sure to note that we are all beautiful and created in God's image and that physical beauty is not a means to an end - that true beauty is something that is not seen with the eyes, but rather something that is felt with the heart.

oh and thank you so much Seoulsearch for saying that I am wise even if you were joking :) I try anyway.

I figured it would be just for a laugh, like this thread.

Now, as for #5 and #4, it'd be no to both of those. I guess I'm just, err, "unique". That's a nice way of putting it. Yeah, unique. ;)

Attractive men are just as bad, or even worse. They Lead you on just to BAM, cut it off. Then your sittin their like an idiot wondering..... WHAT just happened! There always saying one thing, then doing another, so you dont know which is which. Most of them are so used to girls liking them, that they put no effort into a relationship.

Personally, i prefer the ugly ones, There always the nicest, and there are no guessing games with them. They are how they are, and what you see is what you get.

Understanding Ugly men in 3 easy steps. (ugly men arent high maintenance, they only need 3 )

Hi All, I think atttractiveness comes from all kinds in my eyes. I really feel that being kind and listening to our inner feelings means more than flash cars, flash boyfreinds etc etc. Poople get mixed up with attractiveness these days. I feel if someone is pleasant looking and happy with it, its a bonus is someone is nice to them. I sometimes get abit mixed up when I feel and look ok. I sometimes think people are interested but I hurts me if someone isnt being genuine. I am finding it hard to settle sometimes in my new neighbourhood, becasue if ever we in the garden sometimes the neighbours start wanting to know what we are saying! I like genuine people that speak and say hello to your face! Please pray I get over my little bit of anxiety. Amen When someone is attractive I feel that sometimes others watch from a distance and this world people are to curious anyway and not genuine enough sometimes, I hope I make sense. I have learnt to trust the lord in matters now.amen

A woman telling me these things doesn't even affect my pride and ego. It's giving me permission to move onto the next woman. I used to fight and try to resist rejection or being friend zoned. Now I could care less. My pride won't be affected. I don't worry about it or think about it. I just move onward.

Hi , I apologize If I sounded abit down, Ive just had a phone call from the doctor saying I had under active thyroid. Ive been abit mixed up to be honest. I happy today becasue i took my first tablet and felt better. Yes its so true that we must on from rejection, it makes so much sense. I gave some swings to my neighbour today and felt really happy as it was for the kids. I thank god for giving me insight and knowledge on how to deal with things better. I beleive all good things come to those that wait patiently! Love Mandy xx

Im glad you are feeling better, although it didnt sound like u were down in your last post, just honest. I too have anxiety around people. Its interesting how the way you perceive yourself affects the way you think others see you.

That is very generous of you to give swings to your neighbor! At first I thought u meant swings as in punches LOL

To you and everyone...
To be honest I realize now it was foolish for me to start this thread. In all honesty I was feeling jilted because someone I really liked (a woman) decided she doesnt like me anymore because of something we disagreed on. Well, whats done is done I guess.

rofl! I've definitely used a few of those, but generally meaning exactly what I said. lol One guy that asked me out wouldn't take "no" for an answer...I had to tell him FIVE times that I had a boyfriend...which I did at the time....before he got the point. :S I did use the "Oh that's sweet, but no" thing once though...and then the guy (one of my coworkers) saw me going to a movie with my brother and some friends a few days later. I guess he must have figured that my brother was my boyfriend, since he paid for me, and our friends were obviously dating. He wouldn't talk to me for like 2 weeks. Anyways, I thought your list was rather hilarious. :) lol

Honestly, I agree with this. I find that I'll give a girl my number, I will talk to her for a little bit, but eventually I will just get bored and cut her off. It isn't intentional, but I wasn't really interested in her in the first place I think. I was just trying to be nice and talk to her for a while, but the more hints I give that I don't want a relationship with them, the more they chase.

See, this is the problem with females to the core. You always want what you perceive you can't have, and then you claw after it and screw over any guy that may want you. Sometimes, I get blamed because a girl wants me and I don't want her back, yet some other dude wants her and she doesn't want him. Well it's a cycle starting with the female being bipolar and crazy (yes you are all bipolar and crazy on some level, just some are a good type of crazy). She ends up being REALLY nice to me, and being a total B word to the other guy, and it makes me mad. The other dude did nothing wrong except like the girl, and so he gets treated bad. I guess in respect to that, I start to treat the girl as less than admirable back, so the cycle continues when I go after a girl that I like that doesn't like me. lol

It's like a giant food chain ahaha

I agree with the crazy part, Women on some level yes are all crazy, but some can hide their crazy better than others.
