And on a more serious note, loyalty and faithfulness (which I definitely know is required by both people in the relationship.)

But *please* don't tell me that you need me or love me and then go download visuals of naked women. You'll utterly crush my heart. ("Don't break this heart of mine... Just remember: it might not heal this time." -- Toto).

I've had lots of guy friends who struggle with this and I'm more than happy to listen and pray for them as friends, but on a personal level, it's not something I could ever put up with again in another relationship. I don't expect perfection, but if it's a regular, obsessive habit or addiction, I would have to say no to anything more than a friendship.

In fact, this is a major reason why I've been single for so long. I'd rather be alone than have to deal with all that.

It would be nice to find someone who could accept that I'm real--with all the flaws that come with it--and not a fantasy.
AMEN SISTER! This has been my experience in my only 2 serious relationships. It is a deal-breaker if the guy is not willing to get help (prayer, technological safeguards, accountability groups/partner, etc) and be intentional about not looking at that garbage. Thank you for saying this. Guys, take note!

There are two types of porn addicts. Those that don't care and those that do. The ones that don't care aren't going to be phased by "guys take note". Because they don't care and porn is becoming normalized.
The ones that do care won't be phased by it because it is a problem and a struggle they are already dealing with.
The reason so many that want to quit struggle is a lack of knowledge about how to quit. A lack of support. And a fear of judgment about speaking out (such as comments like "guys tale note" or being told women don't want to be with them).

And, really, this is not a "guy" issue any longer. So both guys and gals take note. Women watching and addicted to porn is a Huge issue as well. Porn addiction is officially labeled as an epidemic in the US, this includes both men and women as addicts.
So if you're going to preach about porn and relationships, in this day and age, you must speak to both genders and recognize it as more than a male issue.

Did my post offend you? If so, I'm sorry that it did. I can try to clarify some of the things I wrote for you.

I completely agree that porn in an issue between both men and women. However, in my post, I was only referring to men because I was replying directly to seoulsearch's post and this thread, in which both are speaking specifically about men. But, yes, porn is a huge problem for both men and women alike.

Furthermore, in my personal experience, it hasn't been the lack of knowledge about how to quit that has been the main struggle. It was the effort put into using those tools, that was lacking. Porn is an addiction, no doubt. But you have to want that help first and then make the conscious effort everyday to resist by utilizing those tools that you were given. Of course, we each have our own opinions and I don't discount yours because it's different than mine.

"Guys, take note," was not meant to be a judgmental term in the slightest.

well as I put it,watching lustful things on internet just like smoking, doing drugs,or drinking alcohol are "Habits" not "addictions" people can through the holy spirit, stop doing,"addiction is a "man made"word to make these "sinful habits" look like they are things that afflict and cannot be broken because people like an "excuse" to say that will get people to pity them or worse yet just let them continue their"sinful habits",for remember,"with God all things ARE possible" but one must have the desire to serve God and stop their"sinful habits"!
