Just an observation, but I'm actually surprised how many people replied to this thread and mentioned Facebook. I had a Facebook account back in 2004 when it was still in alpha testing and was ONLY for college students, but I thought it was dumb so deleted my account a week later and haven't been back.

Hmm...just curious to me that so many people use it. I guess I just don't get why. Oh well, my problem. Carry on, folks. Carry on.
I like the funny pics on facebook, and the political articles.

What are your favorite websites?? (Besides CC of course!) :D

Tell us and let us know what you like about each one. ;)
Mm...it's changed a lot over the years. In my younger days I hit up a site called TeenSpot for a long time (years). I also was rather involved in IMVU during my college years. Gotta be careful there, though...there's all sorts of things.

Imeem was one of the best music sites around before MySpace ate it. After that, I was forced to look elsewhere, so now my regular music sites frequented are Pandora, Spotify, SoundCloud, and YouTube (though you get more than music from Youtube, obviously).

Speaking of YouTube, I also hit up Netflix and Crunchyroll quite regularly.

Then there are social networking sites like Facebook, Tumblr, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google+, and such.

I used to hit up art/photography sites like DeviantArt, Photobucket, and so forth.

Then there's all the emails like Yahoo, Gmail, Live and/or Hotmail (or whatever they call it now), Outlook, and others...

I also used to be a graphics designer and RPer (Role-Player). I did that on sites like AnimeLeague, WarriorCatsRPG (which is now FeralFront), and a few others who I can't really remember.

Umm...then I am/was a part of lots of websites pertaining to games I play/played at the time, Lotro, PWI, DCUniverse, Bungie.net(for Destiny), PSN, ElderScrolls, BattlefieldP4F, RuneScape, and many many many more that I won't take the time to list. Honestly, I don't do anything accept play Destiny in the gamer world anymore...

Umm...yeah, that about covers the last 20 years of frequent website browsing minus Amazon, SweetWater, Musicians Friend, GuitarCenter, Walmart, and a bunch of other retail/manufacturing sites for product purchases.

I should probably also comment on things like Wikipedia, dictionary/thesaurus .com, Websters 1828 Dictionary (Shaffer.com), BibleGateway, Hymnary.org, CyberHymnal, and a great deal of other informational sites I use on a weekly basis.

Really...I should just stop...because I could continue on to write paragraphs about the sites I visit in a given week. =/ Makes me feel like I have no life outside a screen, but the fact is...that isn't true either. I just do too much of some things and not enough of others... like sleep or exercise. More of those things would be good... and adventure and travel...I miss adventure and travel, too... and music... *sigh*

I basically stick to Facebook, CC, MyFitnessPal and Amazon. The rest of my internet browsing consists of Google searches and rabbit trails.

I like Facebook because it helps me to keep in contact with friends and family. I also enjoy having in-depth discussions there on faith and life. People also share links to some very interesting content and the occasional funny video. I use it regularly but I don't spend a lot of time there.

In no particular order (and not including cc).

Youtube - great for music, how to cook and docu's. Good hymn selection for when you just want to relax.

Ligonier.org - good teaching vids/series

Netflix - I have netflix but I don't use it much.

Amazon - Books, Books and more Books.. Not always buying, just window shopping :)

Facebook - I check it a couple of times a week. Good for keeping in touch with people.

I never have used Facebook. I guess that I'm not all that interested in the drama and little details of other people's lives, especially the ones that I don't even know.

I completely forgot to put Amazon as one of my favorites. I spend entirely too much time browsing there and too much money buying stuff from there.

Speaking of which, I need to browse for some grips for my new Colt 1911. Woohoo!

Confessions of a College Professor

I like this blog by an ex college professor. He just rants on the craziness that college is now.

Youtube and facebook...that's about it. I mean yeah I visit other websites too but those are my three favorites at the moment.

I, too, like the Book of Faces. I recently joined a nerdy music engravers club who like to argue about such things as "if the tie goes from this note to that note, should I change the stem direction of one or the other note(s)?" Sometimes it is like the BDF, but overall, it has been helpful since I have been arranging more music lately, for both my personal projects and as an occasional side gig.

Craig's List can be helpful for garage/estate sales and the occasional free stuff.

oh, and Allrecipes | Food, friends, and recipe inspiration

I don't really have a favorite. Besides the websites I use daily are to submit and complete homework and pay bills, can't forget those lol and they are far from being considered a favorite.
