Expediting the end of the world is NOT egotistical.

(I considered linking to the thread where I learned that on this site, but thought it would be more fun for folks to try and figure out the context. lol)

I learned that I should set myself a rule that I should spend the extra money to go out to eat when I'm craving unhealthy foods rather than going grocery shopping and buying several meals worth of said unhealthy food. I also learned that even when it's good and satisfies that craving, it's not as wonderful as you imagined it would be.
Experience talking here. That's a multiple time lesson. One we must keep learning because we keep forgetting the second someone sticks a bag of Fritos...

Ooops. Got to go.

Is that because you are practicing fleeing temptation or is it more of a "lead me not into temptation, I can find the way easily on my own" type of deal?

We are getting slammed with snow. It has snowed here 7 of the last 9 days. Two of them have been fairly large accumulations.

I (re) learned I have to move out of the northern end of the north east.
This is just not working for me.
I'm thinking either either Sarasota Fla., Austin or San Antonio Texas, or maybe Charlotte, NC.

Anyone live in any of these places?

Today I learned that sometimes washed up whale carcasses explode due to the gas build up during decomposition

And some countries will use explosives to blow dead whales up at sea to get ahead of the spontaneous combustion.

The most exciting thing I've ever seen wash up here is a huge sea turtle, a bunch of jellyfish, and a baby shark.

I learned how to use a debit card. I feel so empowered right now. No protest needed.

I learn that live is very short. I helped my friend to spread the forms so all teachers n staffs could get transffered salary to our new accounts every month. I remembered i was talking with one of teacher last saturday. He was very healthy and made jokes with others in the teacher's room. But today, we got shock news if he passed away. All of us at school is very sad to hear this.
Life is very short.

I learned that the reason we have to have the wifi through the firewall router and not the cable company router has nothing to do with security issues, and everything to do with liability and litigation issues.

Why would anyone not move to Texas:)...San Antonio is quite liberal though...not like Austin...but still.

Go with the flow of Sarsota, Florida. We live about an hour from there. I have been to all three that you mentioned. I was in San Antonio for 4 months while in the Air Force and been through Charlotte quite a few times.

Swipe or insert?

Because I swiped for years, and now I have to insert. The rules changed on me. I hate when that happens. I'm like swipe/swipe/swipe, oops, insert. Then insert and pull out, poof! Angry BEEPBEEPBEEP from the machine. Finally got it right and didn't pull out the card until it told me to. Mean machine, it's the same angry BEEPBEEPBEEP it gives when I didn't do it right. I want it to give me a plesant "Have a good day" or shower me with confetti on those rare moments or a piece of chocolate when I get it right.

Bad machine! Bad, bad, bad machine!

Hot.
Dusty.
Dry.
Flat.
You can drive for hours without ever seeing another person.
Can't eat beef or pork, so I'd starve.
The freaking Dallas Cowboys.
Hat hair from Stetsons. (And Stetson came from Philly. Go figure. lol)
Pointy boots.
Boots.
Cow paddies.
Cows.
Tornados.
Droughts.
No hoagies, cheesesteaks, real pretzels, or scrapple. (Hey, I can't eat pork or beef, but I do enjoy it when others are eating something good.)

Want me to keep going? lol

I learned that a kid who made a cheat sheet for the first twenty elements and their symbols of the periodic table did not need it. He told me "I made a cheat sheet, but didn't use it. Are you still going to give me a zero?" I asked him what did he think. He then proceeded to stand in front of me and tell me all twenty in order- so of course I did not give him a zero.
**** show off...

I learned, through a harsh lesson, that I do not know how to interpret a correlation matrix properly.
