I learned that there is such a thing as Candy Day... who knew?!! (Toinena knew...)

I had no idea it was a "national candy day". Strangely enough it wasn't celebrated here on CC. It should have. In Norway we try to teach parents and kids candies are for Saturday only.

We have also taco day (Friday), some have pancake day (Tuesday in our family) and of course porridge day (Saturday).

Today I learned that when you run out of spaghetti seasoning mix, sloppy joe seasoning mix makes a rather tasty alternative. Now I have a delicious lunch.

Tacos on Friday? What kind of sorcery is this?

Tacos are on Tuesdays. There's a reason it's called TACO TUESDAY. Yeah....Friday is for Fish. Fishy Friday. *sigh*

That's why Luther wrote those thesis on that door in Wittenberg. .... to free us from the Catholic fish Friday. I guess Luther would love tacos.

The law may be on the books, but it would take all their resources to enforce it. Go ahead, try to keep me from eating chocolate today.

I confess. I ate a tiny little piece of delicious Niederberger Marzipan. Actually I took three. I guess I have to go to the naughty corner.

Considering in Luther's day that rivers were basically raw sewage, I wouldn't be keen on eating fish either. Fishy Friday has been in my life since forever. My Dad was raised in a very traditional Irish Catholic family, and even after he left the church after the second Vatican Council made their weird changes to everything, he was used to eating fish on Fridays.

Well as long as it was delicious, you are forgiven my child. Say three Hail Marys, five Our Fathers, thy sins be forgiven thee, go in peace.

I didn't learn anything.....someone teach me something...lol...oh yes I learnt that sometimes I say Things that upset people without really knowing that I am upsetting the person....hence the need to really be careful and asses someone before speaking or bursting out something...

What did I learn?

That's a lot of pressure.

Can I just make something up and pretend like I'm paying attention to stuff?

I realized today that I need to speed up the pace in which I develope better habits. If I’m 45 years old now, and most people don’t make it to 100, and it took me this long to get where I am, I won’t live 900 years like Adam and Eve, or have a million chances to get it right like on the movie Groundhog Day, so I better kick it into high gear if I want to change certain habits in me before I kick the bucket.

Today I learned that I can't go very long without protein powder. I thought I could do without it to save some money...but its so hard for me to avoid eating a lot of carbs so I need it to balance things out even though I do eat some protein with every meal..
