My next door neighbor gives out full size candy bars. Kid's remeber that, they flock to our street. I usually buy bags of pretzels because they come in large quantities and they're not expensive and I can pack them any left over in my kid's lunch. I love when they get bag's of pretzels or popcorn, they kind of groan and I grab them for their lunches. I'd love if people would pass out, boxes of Mac and cheese, cans of Spagettio's, Juice boxes or Capri Sun, baby carrot's , pre packaged apple slices and cheese sticks. If everyone passed out that stuff I'd save so much money not having to buy stuff for their lunches for a while. The kid's might not like it, but I'd be happy.
Noooooo!!!! :O Please tell me u don't really mean that! :D  haha jk

AuntieAnt: I heard a person on da radio talking about candy corn. "Candy corn was invented in the 1880's... and all the candy corn ever sold since was made back in the 1880's." I think he was trying to say candy corn is so chewy because it is more than a century old or something.

For me it's gotta be ice cube chocolates.
Wow i've totally forgotten about those!!! I love those too! :D

Here are some of my favorites when I was a kid. I don't even know if they still make them all.

Mary Janes, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Mike & Ike and Mallo Cups they still make. Although I prefer Valomilk over Mallo Cups.

In other news, if Halloween had a Scrooge we would name the person Fenner. :p :p :p :p

I always hoped for Twix, Jolly ranchers, or Starburst.

I hated popcorn balls and caramel apples. With the fury of a thousand burning stars I hated them.
I kind of like popcorn balls, but your lyrical description of their personal offensiveness pleases me.

I never got caramel apples. In fact, I question whether I've ever had a caramel apple...
I think I did, once many moons ago.

Part of me felt bad for my intense dislike of them. They most often came from the houses of aged people, and I knew, even when I was a youngster, that those people had spent time and effort making them. I felt bad because I didn't appreciate the end product. Most of the time though, I would be out with someone who did like them, so I could pass it off to them.

Well, if you passed them off on someone else and made them happy, then they served their purpose.
