I think I'm the only person in the world who actually liked Halloween candy corn.

AuntieAnt: I heard a person on da radio talking about candy corn. "Candy corn was invented in the 1880's... and all the candy corn ever sold since was made back in the 1880's." I think he was trying to say candy corn is so chewy because it is more than a century old or something.

For me it's gotta be ice cube chocolates.

Aw, thanks!!! You know... I was going for that "Is-she-or-isn't-she a catfish?" look. :D

Now all I need is a selfie of me in a hoodie and a baseball cap :D. I guess I have my Halloween costume all figured out for this year. :p

Now, to make this post "legal" :) ... My most-wished for candy was always anything chocolate ("REAL" chocolate, not "chocolate-flavored"), but without nuts (for me, it ruins the texture.)

Isn't it ironic though, because now we're all adults and can just go buy whatever candy we want?

Kinda spoils the excitement, huh? :(

I'm so out of the loop I had to look up what a "catfish" was on the urban dictionary!

It's groovy to know what these hip sayings mean, like, far out!

Speak for yourself Kim. I still get excited when I go to ALDI and stock up on Moser Roth chocolate.

I'd be a lot more excited if you shared your Moser Roth chocolate.

It would be a lot easier to share it if you were not so far away. It's your fault for living over there.

What is the one candy you wanted to get most on Halloween?

I think most of us went trick-or-treating on halloween at one time or another so what was the one candy you were hoping to get? Mine was always Reese's peanut butter cups. :)

And for those who didn't go trick or treating, just tell us your favorite candy. :)

My mom and dad used to take us trick-or-treating in a really ritzy neighborhood because rich people have nothing better to do with their money than give little kids full sized Hershey bars.

Jackpot for me was usually:
- Hershey's Special Dark, any size
- jumbo red or blue Airheads
- red Jolly Ranchers
- full sized Butterfingers
- Ghirardelli chocolate squares (or other "expensive" chocolate)
- Midnight Milkyway bars

At the bottom of the totem poll was any kind of Tootsie Roll, peppermints, candy corn, Whoppers, and Almond Joys (I was not one of those kids who liked coconut lol)

I hated popcorn balls and caramel apples. With the fury of a thousand burning stars I hated them.

My next door neighbor gives out full size candy bars. Kid's remeber that, they flock to our street. I usually buy bags of pretzels because they come in large quantities and they're not expensive and I can pack them any left over in my kid's lunch. I love when they get bag's of pretzels or popcorn, they kind of groan and I grab them for their lunches. I'd love if people would pass out, boxes of Mac and cheese, cans of Spagettio's, Juice boxes or Capri Sun, baby carrot's , pre packaged apple slices and cheese sticks. If everyone passed out that stuff I'd save so much money not having to buy stuff for their lunches for a while. The kid's might not like it, but I'd be happy.

I used to eat both treats in Coney Island many monns ago. The only thing I h@ted about those goodies is that I couldn't stop eating them!

I've never liked popcorn balls either. Too messy! I loved caramel apples especially with nuts. But not the red candy apples where the sticky candy cements your teeth together. *ugh*

My favorite candy to get was Tootsie Rolls. Since we have started doing a Halloween event at my church, one person hands out gift cards to a local pizza place....that would have been awesome to get as a kid. I actually think some kids keep coming back and hearing about God just because of those pizza cards.

Here are some of my favorites when I was a kid. I don't even know if they still make them all.
