Lifestyle likes: Similar in nature. If there is something demonstrably different like, for example, a love of sculpting, I'd learn to appreciate it. That said, there have to be

Income levels: I care little about income level. As long as she has the capability of being self-sustaining should I meet an early demise.

Education: This doesn't matter either. Intelligence does to a great extent, but it doesn't directly correlate with education level.

Religion+Denomination: I'm not going to allow my children to grow up confused. Can they be challenged and confronted? Can there be minor disagreements? Certainly, I have those with everyone. I will not so much as go out on a date with a woman I suspect of being of a worldview much different than mine.

Age: Age does not directly correlate with maturity or wisdom. That said, I'm generally attracted to older women for those reasons.

Goals: There must be a mutual admiration, tolerance, and compatibility with one another's ambitions.

My additions:

Politics: See religion.

Are we allowed to just insert a name as an answer? Probably not, huh? I'll come back later with some answers. ^_^

Church choice (denomination)

Religion choice
I prefer she be catholic, but I'm not picky

A good match should be fat but stout. It should have a red head with a little white on top. It should burn hot and bright and for a long time. It should be long enough that I don't feel burned and strong enough not to fall apart.

well a perfect match doesnt burn out after you light it up immediately, it also doesn't give off that phosphorus smell, and it is coming from God, and has a nice wooden finish.

Hi, this is my 2nd post, so I hope no one minds if I just jump in.

Some of my factors: I'm divorced (biblical reasons, and he's "unioned" with another man) and I homeschool my teen daughter, so Mr. GiftFromGod must at least be supportive of homeschooling.

Lifestyle likes--I like to go out and do things, but I'm rather introverted and need quiet time. I am a cat person, so love me, love my kitties. ;)

Income levels--I'll be honest, right now I have to work and I'd rather not. I'd like a husband who wants and is willing to support a stay-home wife. I don't sit around and watch soaps or eat bonbons but it would be nice to be able to devote my time to the home and not an outside job.

Education--That's not as important to me as intelligence. Level of education doesn't always equate intelligent. If I can have a deep conversation with him, that's great.

Church choice (denomination)--Not too picky about this, but I'd be uncomfortable with an overly-emotional or expressive church. Solid gospel teaching is a must. Conservative, reverent, loving, real.

Religion choice (Islam marrying Christian, or, even Catholic marrying Christian, or, conservative marrying liberal worshipper). Conservative. Protestant or Orthodox.

Age--my age up to 10 years older.

Goals--I'd like a man whose ultimate goal is to lead and raise his family in a God-honoring way. Anything else is gravy.

This is a great thread. Really makes you look at what your desires and expectations are. :)

The Perfect Match is the one that lights the fire which keeps you warm on a cold, dark night.
