Have you ever, to those who do, lost your composure when faced with something rather challenging? Like, as an example, I was confronted by a coworker and having been bullied before, I lost my peace and something took over, fear. I realised that somehow, somewhere deep inside, I still feel afraid of confrontation, although much much better than before.
What certain circumstances make you feel things you never realised were still there or you thought you've already overcome?
What certain changes in yourself do you experience when going through these circumstances?
Another example, Peter denying Jesus which was also because of fear. Funny, before that event, he publicly declared he was willing to go to death with Jesus. XD
Yet another example, I have encountered people who are lively, jolly and spreads love whenever, but when they are going through something, like a family issue, they become different in some way. Like, when people try to reach out to them, they reject, or doubt the help offered to them. I feel like, somehow, these people maybe struggling with what unconditional love really is and they can't believe that a kind of love that doesn't ask for anything in return, exists. Okay, somehow this may be another kind of fear as well - the fear of rejection? They disqualify themselves before others can. Something like that.
Anyway, so yeah, have you guys experienced this / noticed this for yourself? Or are you the type of person who can remain calm and composed on the inside, even when faced with a storm? (Now that would be cool.)
