Does making a ham sandwich count? My grocery drop-off won't come until tomorrow, so I'm left with barely anything to be creative with.

yes, it counts. Toast the bread? heat the ham and put some cheese on it?

Early morning I found a sweet potato, nuked it, cooked a few small sausages, diced them and made a bit of gravy over the sweet potato with diced onions, no noon meal as I am still full.

Yeah, had a lot of errands to do this weekend and was too tired to go grocery shopping, so I set up a grocery drop off with Walmart.

Do you not have it where you are?
Oh I have it, I've just seen the people working there that would be responsible for picking out my groceries! ha ha

Mackerel... ugh!

The texture is between tuna and salmon, but the smell... the smell!
I know, I know but with enough seasoning it's not so bad.

I've actually had the young guys who are fullfilling orders in the stores ask me what certain items are and where they might be located

Mine was an adaptation, used a cast iron pan ,didn't "build the sauce" as much as cook them in the pan, Old Bay and Butter at the last, put more flavor in than merely boiling them, will be doing it again.
