Soooo, I'm about to make some Thai chicken. *drools*

This is a forum where you post what you're cooking/eating! Take pictures of your food and post it!

Once the chicken is done thawing, I will definitely be posting pictures!

But, here's a picture of pineapple chicken I made:

oh the family bbq was a bit of a drama
But I managed to cook it all without anything being burned, though mum and dad arguing the correct way to do it was not helping. One was fanning the flames, the other was doing something rather dangerous with a polystyrene meat tray. I got simulateneously threatened to leave and coerced to stay.

what can be so hard about lighting a fire and cooking meat on a grill?

The next day, I cleaned up the bbq and put it away. I can only handle one bbq per year.

it was sausages, chicken on skewers, mussels and prawns btw. Nothing too difficult. I think mum just gets miffed because she doesnt get to cook. And dad can have a go. Its my bbq.

mum is like gordon ramsay in the kitchen and dad is a bit clueless. I prefer my food NOT burned. But of course you cant boss your parents around. Even if everything is going up in flames.

I havent worked out a solution between the two, one is like. I only eat rice and nutritious food and the other is like I could eat mcdonalds or spam for dinner everyday.

do you have a squirt gun or spray bottle handy to cool them off?

I am reminded of the work of Dr. Caroline Leaf and many others who note that anything we think say and do that does not line up with love, joy, peace, patience etc. produces negative and damaging neuropeptides, to the point where that does far more harm than the either the good or poor diet.
best wishes

Thank you kindly. and your secret sauce? Do you dare tell me? I promise I will keep it between you and me (and the maybe the millions of cc viewers).

Saw a recipe for "drobinki" a czech recipe where you first cooked the chicken in chicken broth, my was it rich in flavor, wonder if I might do that for the chicken here... And the red onion, red onions have more flavor, and the cheese, kind of partial to extra sharp, wonder how that would work.....
Thank you for sharing.

Recently we made chicken enchilada soup, topped with sour cream, green onion, cheese, avocado, and tortilla strips. It was so good that we made beef enchilada soup a few days later, that was even better. If you make this use old elpaso brand red enchilada sauce, and avoid adding chili powder or more than one small can of petite tomatoes- because our first one tasted like tomatoes and chili, second one was much better. Of course if you use chicken use chicken broth, and if you use beef use beef broth. You can use hamburger, but we got some nice cuts of beef rib from the meat deli, no bones and very little fat- which I cut off anyway. There are so many recipes for it online.

Yes, it’s a Mexican dish. We are very cultured when it comes to food- Mexican food, Chinese food, Greek, Italian, Korean, Polish, Mediterranean, you name it, oh and of course American. We like to experiment. 😋

I'm at my parents house for the weekend, because, let's be honest - I'm burnt out from adulting and need a break from it. ;)

My Mom made me my favorite soup, since it has been a MINUTE since I visited last.

I think this is similar to Yellow Split Pea Soup. And it is DELICIOUS. (And, I hate peas).
