O
Everybody's got something or , in some's cases, someone that drives you, motivates you.
What/who moves you?
Questions, questions, questions.
What or who steers you?
?*? The feeling of taking that next drag?
?*? The boyfriend promising sooo many good things to me, so what if church isn't one of them (you say)?
?*? Smokin' down the freeway, in some sort of Mario Andretti racing style, racing a dude?
?*? Tucking yourself into your chair for some internet highs, pornography or , some other bad drive, maybe even, GASP! chatrooms?
.-----.
Well..... Green, you, sure do hit me where it hurts. And, for me, I have more unmentioned 'drives,' but some of those mentioned mesh like a fine wine whetting my appetite with a garlic brie cheese, cloud ears mushrooms and grated truffle on top. Sorry, couldn't' resist, I saw 'The Chew' and that recipe made.
----
But , yeah, OK,so those things drive you , me, EVERYBODY. NO ones immune . Romans 8:28.
We ALL have things that DRIVE us badly, deceptively (that's how that sucka Satan works, right ), and, yeah, sinfully.
So, what is the thread trying to say, green, since you I see are not making JUST me feel guilty for my pleasures (drives)?
What?
----
Let's use a scripture verse and maybe a personal story/ anecdote how God BEAT that bad drive right on OUT OF THERE!! SORRY, but it's World Series time and oh, can THAT baseball stuff really drive you too :?
This just may be the cure thread of the 21st century, the Lord leads , it's meant to help.us all and I speak funly of this subject but it is highly serious and bottom line for me is this for confronting my drives and getting over them . God!.My personal relationship with Him and His constant, daily forgiveness of me for my driving the wrong way, going off the road, so to speak. Or, in the past, speaking, Jesus/God/Holy Spirit has helped me get PAST a crash that, by all rights, could have driven me over the edge IF not for his current tingling through my thoughts.
