It's all good, Red. You see, the rest of Texas pretty much considers El Paso persona non grata as it is, so I'm only barely affiliated with the state. If Austin had it's way, they'd hand the city over to Mexico and call it Juarez Norte. ^_^

If it makes you feel any better, I have brothers in Dallas and Waco, so not only am I chained here by my retirement fund, but also by blood.
Can't argue with that. All is forgiven. :)

FYI: I also block people for disrespecting Dr Pepper and gummybears :)

Something just occurred to me ... if we wanted to know where peeps are from, can't we just look at another members "about you"? lol I'm sure some people don't have listed where they are from, but wouldn't it stand to reason, those same people aren't going to tell you in an open thread? LOL ok...just food for thought. Carry on.
Same could be said for the telling your name thread, yet I see people still giving their name who don't have it listed on their profile.

I've given my legal name, my phone number, and my address to several people on CC. I've only had good experiences. If y'all want my information, ask for it. I'll probably say no, but hey, you can ask! ;)

Eh, some topics can stand another go-round.

I'm in Tennessee. West TN, specifically. It's about the best place in the world to be.

We're too far north for Florida summers.
We're too far south for Wisconsin winters.
We're too far from the coast to get hurricanes.
We're too far from the east and west coast to get their smog. Clean air rocks!
We have all the water in the world. What is this drought you people keep talking about?
And we still have a Wal-Mart less than half an hour from almost anywhere and broadband internet almost everywhere.

Life is good here. :)

Oh yeah... the people here are pretty friendly too. Go from west TN to almost anywhere else and people seem downright rude by comparison.

I visited Tennessee briefly as I went to pick up my son from trucking school there. It was fun trip as we went to the Hard Rock cafe and Graceland. It was a very long trip home though and driving through Little Rock, Arkansas at night was very nerve wracking for me. Lots of praying on that trip both coming and going. Beautiful scenery along the way though.

I am from Kansas and most people believe we are nothing but a flat state but we do have beautiful countryside and even some waterfalls. All in all it is nice and quiet but I crave to see much more than this some day.

I'm from the Great State of TEXAS, home of the best bar-b-que and the greatest rodeos.

And Green, Mexico is represented by the eagle with a snake, because of a legend. Basically, the Aztecs claimed that their God told them they would know where to settle when they see an Eagle resting on a cactus while eating a snake. Thus, the symbol for Mexico.
Here's something interesting Aztlán is where the Aztec came from to Mexico, Aztlán is in Minnesota, they have a state park there with the same name and there is a pyramid in the lake that has the Aztec design.

I'm form Cali
