Why are so many women attracted to jerks?

It comes down to the type of girl you want to find. Most girls at bars and clubs are looking for jerks but most women who are more church goers and have higher self respect will be looking for nice guys. It's really all about timing and looking in the right spots. After having relationships with women who were waiting for a jackass to come along, I can tell you they are not worth the time or the headache. Now i spend my days happy being single and praying for God to bring me someone that loves him and wants the same things I do. At the end just let the majority of women chase jerks, it's their loss.

We women sometimes mistake arrogance for charisma. Also, some of us may have had pretty bad Fathers, and so we accept attention too easily and mistake it for love.

Perhaps the nice, introverted, shy types are afraid to ask a woman out because of fear of rejection. If true, that leaves only the jerks to choose a mate from. Sometimes, to find a sweet, single, desirable Christian man the woman has to be a little aggressive.

How can I put this... it's difficult to tell if a person is a jerk when you first meet. So you respond to those asking, and they turn out to be jerks.... but if only the jerks ask, how are we to know that there is a different type of man who is interested in us? So yeah, we choose from the jerk pool because the nice man wants to friend - which is awesome - but makes no move to deepen the relationship - which isn't. And women are socialized to respond to advances, not typically to make them.

Women are attracted to men who are the "J" word because many of them do not know what real, unconditional love is and they have such a low self esteem the women don't believe they deserve any better.

I think this is probably very very true.
