Who should answer this question?

You?

LOL, no, of course not, God. Of all things in our life we question of ourselves, ask God, He will give you the answer that is best. He knows you best, afterall, He made you. :)

If they are of Christ, God will make your mind work right, who knows, maybe they are thinking more right denominationally than you and God is trying to show you His Truth in the only way He can, maybe, get your attention. :)

Let the Lord lead ALL areas of your life. The Lord leads :)
Okay, but what happens if this dude is right, and God tells me to join this religion that so many are saying is a "cult"... what becomes of the friends that believe it's a cult, and they leave me alone because they don't understand?
So ultimately, if God tells me that it's right, I lose all the friends who think Mormonism is wrong.... I don't want that. I treasure all of my friends.

Right, OK, good question.

If this young man is right for you, pray, pray, pray, and, pray some more, and....

IF you have Christ in you, blueseraphin, if you have believed in Him (John 3:16), IF you have accepted His grace and mercy and are now going forward looking at ways Christ told those in the new testament to affirm their obedience to the faith that was chosen, THEN you will, indeed, know The Way, milady, that is right for you regarding this situation.

The Lord leads , He will make everything turn out right, your friends, everything. Follow Him, He will never leave you nor forsake you, He will only Love you with blessings, and, discipline (He disciplines those He loves, scripture says). Let everything and everyone else follow behind, He will make a way that you will understand, perfectly. :)

There are friends I have here, that think that Mormonism is from the devil. There are people all over the world who think that. There's so much stuff dissing Mormonism, it's hard for this guy to find any facts for me to go off of. He loves me, and I adore him, but this has been a problem for me, because I'm scared that if God tells me it's right for me to become a Mormon, my friends will think I've sold myself to the devil.
Honestly, I'm scared of Gods answer.
The guy keeps telling me that if my friends leave me just because of my religion, then they never were really my friends... But I don't want to lose any of them.
Whenever I get a friend, I make a place in my heart for them, and never want to let them out...

Don't be scared of God's answer, milady, because the Lord leads :)

Is this meaning you are going to a Mormon church now?

The Lord leads, but not everyone understands that's what's going on. To some, it doesn't matter.... I just don't want to lose my friends. :(

oh milady, I am not sure what else to say, there is a power in following the Lord's lead. IF you are His and you are then don't let something destroy you that is not you....

Remember, my answer to this question was very guarded. I would really pray first and , this is a big thing, if I was in a holy rollers church and went to conservative church like Presbyterian. But, IF I really liked the girl and the Lord was showing me that it was right, I would do it, no doubt. The Lord leads. I will follow Him :)

Now, what is it that could strongly lead me to switch denominations. Communion with Him, the Spirit in me leading me to all Truth :)

I am going to open up to you a little more, but I am praying that God finds me a girl only IF she is going to make me better following Him now than I am as a single and/or God is just showing me that I am not handling loneliness well as a single guy.

That said, I am working in a field that I enjoy but I think of the ministry, often, asking Him questions...

IF the time is right?

When is the time right?

I truly believe I will be better off with a wife before I were to go to seminary or take an online course, Lord becWAIT!!

blueseraphin, do you see where that was going? It was all about 'I,' that last thing I said. It can NEVER be about 'I' and they are imperative asked as in 'I will do this' format, and, not question format.

Our speaking to the Lord must be about Him. No imperatives unless you say the imperative statement like the above, 'I truly believe...' with at the end, '....course, Lord, but what do you think?' Questions must always be about Him. Our answers too, must be about Him. Ask anything in His name and if it it His will your request will be granted . Not saying that God will grant our wish when we ask reverently with a question instead of asking imperatively with a 'I' statement, but there is no chance of your request comingg true when you are doing things irreverent to Him, right :( Sad, isn't it.

The right way to continue is in the 'if' or 'when' format.

Will I be better off with a life mate before I go to seminary or take online masters div program?

Will I be better off with a lifemate after taking seminary classes?

Anyway, I hope I didn't think too much. I am just trying to let the Lord lead, inbetween going to get some din-din at Subway, the bachelor life that is me :D
I see your situation , thanks for sharing, blessings, angel of His :)

Thank you, it's always nice talking to you, milady, God bless you, blueseraphin :)

You know the Lord leads, it will all be good, God is good. Never forget our life is all good when it is all centered on Him :)

Proverbs 31: 30 - Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised :)

"Not my will, but Yours be done..." Where would each one of us be if Jesus hadn't said those words? I don't know. But I know that I, being in a little tiny box, a temporary Earthly shell, can't see the bigger picture. Because we now see, as through a dirty window... but God sees and knows everything, even how many hairs we have on our heads. If He has a plan for me, I really want to follow it. And I want that more than anything else that I think I want. :)

There is no denomination in heaven why not as far as they teach what is in the bible.

Okay, I seriously wish I could take back my poll selection... I selected "unsure" and I should have said "no".
But at the time, I was unsure. I'm not unsure anymore.

Denominations aren't important for me, and I long for the major idea of christianity around the world to be turned upside down!
As long as the church is seeking to obey God, go out into all the world, including the local shop, full of His Spirit, power, joy and peace. Proclaim the gospel, make disciples, heal the sick, raise the dead etc etc.

I'd find it difficult to be with someone who constantly denied and resisted being filled with the Spirit, but if we had a connection I'd pray about it. God can transform someone in an instant

I wouldn't change my denomination. To throw it all away so easily, when I know its right, is pointless. It would be to throw something so huge away in your life away. I don't think God would be that pleased about that.

Forget "Flavor" of church, I'm not cool with leaving my Congregation for the sake of getting married. These are the people that have been in my life for a dozen years. I'm not going to walk away from 100's of people I call family just to try to create family with One person. I accept the fact that my situation is unique, but because of some of that uniqueness, I think it would be beneficial to have my Church Family still an active part of my life if I were to try to create family through re-marriage.
