I must be a nerd then, because it's obvious to me that in "the local newspaper" the letter R is only used once.

I don't own one but man, do these look amazing--and more than a little crazy.

Presenting... The 100-Sided Dice.

You also might be an (old) nerd if you used to sit around playing Magic: The Gathering on Friday nights with your then-significant other (and Wizards of the Coast was just becoming a a big deal.)
I need these where can you buy them?

But wait! What's a PBS?
Public Broadcasting Station- it's like BBC4. Educational programs partly funded by the government, partly funded by private grants, non commercial- so it doesn't rely on ratings. This means two people could watch "The Pacific" about dugongs and it won't be taken off the air! Sweet! PBS is great because it introduced many Americans to retro British comedy shows, like Monty Python's Flying Circus, Are You Being Served?, Keeping Up Appearances, etc. I don't know why Britcoms are on PBS. Perhaps by virtue of being British, they are automatically more "posh".

Maybe just because they are good. "Are You Being Served" is especially good, and "Keeping Up Appearances" reminds me of some people I know.

I was attempting to be funny, I'm lame more often than funny. :p I think the real reason why PBS shows Britcoms is because it is in keeping with their philosophy- opening the world, broadening horizons. Sure, they are comedies, but we learn something about another culture watching them. They'd probably show comedies from other countries, only they don't share the same language- so that would be a problem.

They could show Canadian comedies, but the dearth of Canadian comedies on PBS leads me to believe Canadians aren't very funny.

Canadians have a sense of humor. It's just... different.

I love watching PBS for their health based educational programming like Dr. Daniel Amen's groundbreaking brain research and approach to treatment and Dr. Wayne Dyer's approach to mental health and well-being. They also used to have Dr. Andrew Weil's nutritional advice and some others. I haven't watched it in awhile though. I just don't watch tv anymore except for the news... :/
