I can see why you would want to. I don't think that ignoring a thread would be enough to get rid of it since you have many active posters here that will keep it alive. Mods can close threads I think. Ask one of them.

a who?....

Haha, you funny muffin. Moderators. They have higher privileges than most members. They're the top dogs of CC and help people with any problems and inquiries. Simply contact a mod and tell them which thread exactly you want closed and they'll wave their magic moderator wands and POOF.

for trust in the name, the law is called casuality http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Causality_(physics). hmm anyway, i won't get into discussion about this. Genesis is clear enough, and trying to comprehend how everything was CREATED is impossible to do, because then we would become the CREATOR.

You're most welcome. To find a mod simply search one out via the Chat Members search... don't know if you can specify Moderator as a criteria but in case you can't: Trilogic, RoboOp, AlaynaJ... they are some examples of mods. Type their name in and you'll get 'em. ;)

Athiests think not like we think, sad, Us and God desire to bring joy to people believing in God. There are Christians actually will DIE to bring the message of God to them. Jesus weeps for them that are lost.

Just in case The above post is too long, the abridged version is below.

Evil people =/= evil god doing things to others
Evil people = evil people doing evil things to others

In fact, if there is no loving and caring God, who has established a transcendental moral law... then nothing is really right or wrong.

Without a loving and caring God, we have no real reason to complain about the actions of others, as they were doing what they are free to do without a moral law. If there is a moral law, we can tell them, "hey, you aren't following the moral law" and they can then be punished for their actions.

I think you're the SINGLE most patronizing individual I've ever met in my entire life. This young woman just told us a heart-felt, sad story, and you're lecturing about moral law, not God's love? Not why God can help her get through the hard times in life? Really?

When I stated. "Just in case The above post is too long, the abridged version is below." You might want to think, "what is the above post he is referring to?"

Go back to my post. click --- > http://christianchat.com/375631-post59.html <--- click Look at the above post. Then it will make sense what I was doing.

Also go to this post. click ---- > http://christianchat.com/376081-post69.html <--- click read it, and look at the one above.

However, since you have brought it up. Is God's love the only reason we should be obedient? Is the only reason we as Christians love and obey God, that he gives?

10 Indictments Against the Modern Church in America said:
Fifth indictment: An unbiblical gospel invitation.

We have touched on it a bit. I want to go further. Look how we do it today. I mean, now
listen to me. The more... I have seen this everywhere. The Calvinist, the Arminian, a lot
of them share something in common. It is this, the same superficial invitation. They talk a
lot of talk about a lot of things and then they come to the invitation and it is almost as
though everyone loses their mind.

Walk up to someone says, “God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.”
Can you imagine telling that to an American?

“Sir, God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life.”

“What? God loves me? Well, that’s great because I love me, too. Oh, this is wonderful.
And God’s got a wonderful plan? I got a wonderful plan for my life, too. And if I accept
him into my life I’ll have my best life now. This is absolutely wonderful.”

That is not biblical evangelism.

Let me give you something in its place. God comes to Moses and he says this.
The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger,
and abounding in lovingkindness and truth; who keeps lovingkindness for
thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no
means leave the guilty unpunished.

The reaction of Moses: “Moses made haste to bow low toward the earth and worship.”

Evangelism begins with the nature of God. Who is God? Can a man recognize anything
about his sin if he hath not a standard with which to compare himself? If we tell him
nothing but trivial things about God that tickle the carnal mind, will he ever be brought to
genuine repentance and faith?

We do not begin with, “God loves you and has a wonderful plan.” We begin with a
discourse of the full counsel of who God is. And we tell him from the start it may cost
him his life.

Right, and it's not a universal law.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Causality_(physics):

One crack in this belief system has been produced by radioactivity. An atom of some radioactive substance such as radium will eventually decay, and in the process it will emit energy. But there is no known triggering event that could serve as the cause of this decay event. In a large collection of radium atoms the rate of decay can be accurately predicted, but the identity of the decayed atoms cannot be determined beforehand. Their decay is random and uncaused. Of course it is possible to assert that there must be a hidden factor interior to the radium atoms that predetermines their time of decay, but that factor has not been found.

Another crack in this belief system has been produced by quantum mechanical events such that the same sequence of causal events (or causal factors) regularly produces different effects (i.e. results), but the results may repeat themselves in some random (unknowable) sequence. Furthermore, the percentages of results of each kind can be calculated and they are highly predictable.
