Hey you can go ahead and mock me but the Bible says that evil comunicatons corrupt good manners.

I never seen a Harry Potter nor plan to but I know there is one called the Sorcerer's Stone or something like that. Sorcery is witchcraft my friend. The same God that said thou shalt not commit adultery also said, "Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness."

I know that my beliefs are contrary to most, but the Bible says that If I was of the world the world would love its own, but since I am not of the world, therefore the world hateth me.

It's called fiction. I know that witchcraft is real, but I also know that Harry Potter is fiction. I don't think the whole of the world quote is applicable here to be honest. Do you drive a car? lots of people in the world drive a car. You take a shower?Lot of people in the world take showers.

I am gonna have to agree with you HumbleSaint.. Im pretty much a fan of Harry Potter but not the stuff about it like witchcraft.. It isn't good to be watching that.. eventhough I admit I see it sometimes..

I could go on and on about the corruptness of movies, music, and so much more, but it would not do any good, because few realy care. Here is what I will tell you though you need to go to www.goodfight.org there is a lot of information on the harmful stuff out there. To a lot of people I am just some radical fundy that just makes accusations but I have not turned my tv on in probably about 2 months and in my spare time I do research on this kind of a thing.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge......Hosea 4:6

lol like.. my other friends are just fans because of his "hotty" looks (whatever lol) but I am a semi-fan because I like how the story was put together throughout all the sequels.. but I just really reeeally don't like the witchcraft part even though I know it's fiction. I just don't like it..

It's not that I don't care, it is just that I have heard this repeatedly. It literally does not influence me. I have a stronger relationship with God then I ever had, and I know it is fiction.

Well you know I thought to myself, Why dosent he understand? But then I remembered as I take the hands of time back 11 years when I was just a lad as you and my thinking was distorted by my youthly lusts., So I know that you probably mean well but I will tell you this time is short and the Bible talks a lot about knowledge and wisdom and I encourage you to start doing some research and growing in wisdom.

To be honest, christian movies are: awfully acted, bad plot lines, low budget and just not very good compared to what others are putting out... You may want to attack me for this. But it's just my opinion (opinions count for something) :D

agreed. As someone who actually worked in such industry, there is a low talent pool in the field.
I think the stigma of anything "Hollywood" as satanic drives them away.
There are a bunch of good christians working in movie industry and you wouldn't believe the name calling we've got by general christian public.
Long time ago, I felt the necessity to educate the common christian audience.. now, I pretty much given up.

They can call us whatever they want,
It's not gonna stop me making movies which I sincerely hope illustrate christian values without being over the top. After all, just because it's christian movie, it does not mean that it have to be story of Jesus or moses.

Do you guys know that Finding Nemo actually written by a christian mindset?
About the son who choose to abandon the father.. and about the father who selflessly go thru all the danger to find the son back.
Sounds familiar?
Perhaps, if some christians (not all) can get off their high pedestal.. we can actually make a real impact to the community.

I'm not sure where you are from, but around here the majority of Christians have nothing against the movies and Hollywood.

You'll be surprised how many of them in my area.
All my coworkers has been called minions of Satan at least once or twice because of our professions (directors, art directors, and designers).
These made it so hard for us, christians, to witness Jesus' love to our coworkers.
It's not exactly easy to tell them how Jesus loves them, while in the outside we see our brethren in Christ carrying a sign "Go to hell, Hollywood!"
Perhaps, we should move to Canada. :D :D

WOW! That majorly sucks! You could move to Canada, but doesn't Canadian movies suck compared to American? Because we are Canadian.
