Hi Priscilla!
I'm 17, and I kind of understand what you're going through, so I'll try, with the help of God, to give some decent advice. A Bible verse just popped into my head that I think might help here. Jesus Himself said it: "If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell (Matthew 5:29-30, ESV)." Jesus commands His followers to make sacrifices for His sake, out of love for Him. He loved us so much that He laid down His life for our sake; we should be willing to make sacrifices out of love for Him as well. I'm not necessarily saying that you should stop hanging out with your friends. But Jesus' words remind us that we should be willing to give up whatever causes us to sin, because fellowship with God is more precious than anything you will have to give up in this life. I'm not judging you. I understand how hard it can be to deal with peer pressure. Here's the big question, though: is the approval of your friends more important to you than that of God? Here's another saying of Jesus: “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on my account. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Matthew 5:10-12)" Remember that God is merciful and kind. People mocked and rejected Jesus too, so He understands what you're going through. Talk to Him, and He will give you strength. God bless you.
