Things you may be:
1. Troll

2. Really REALLY ignorant

3. Extremely bored and a troll

4. Ignorant, and never even opened a bible.

This is multiple choice. Choose wisely.

It doesn't matter. Culture will always be wrong. Stick with God.

I don't know any cultures that way. Do you have any examples?
Neither is pornography, adultery, usury, lieing, theft, fornication, drugs, lust, drunkeness, and pretty much everything else.
Muslim countrys and other islamic cultures are an example i think??

You don't really have any authority to tell others on a public forum to leave. IF you do not like certain responses then you have the option to use the ignore feature or just not post.

The fact you made a comment about how God sees you naked in a shower so why does he mind seeing you in a bikini looked as of you were mocking what many said, and what the bible says about modesty If you really cannot understand the whole deal about modesty, then you do need to read the bible on that particular subject.

So far you have been rather argumentative with anyone who does not agree with you or how you see things. If you don't like what people say then don't ask for input, and yes I do feel you are being a bit of a troll. If you aren't then I apologize, but your answers are in the bible. It is up to you whether you choose to obey the Word or go along with that is right in the world.

Ok i know that sometimes i can sound argumentative but im honestly sorry if i have offended anyone. the reason i ask this is because im having trouble understanding the bible, im not sure what it means to what extent im trying to understand and im sorry if its not good enough but in trying to do my best. Again im sorry if i came across offensive or ignorant i dont meant ot be.

The concern for Muslims isn't modesty much of the time, but about control. They demean and bereate women, physically abuse them out of fear of what women might do had they some power of their own. I have no problem with much of what muslim women would wear, but it is knowing why it is worn that makes me upset. It is due to the oppression in many muslim localities.

Not all are like that though. For many, they believe that a woman's beauty should only be shared with her husband. They believe female beauty is too precious to be made a common thing. It is something to be valued.

Western societies don't value female beauty. Rather, they turn it into a meat market.

Do you want to be treated as a piece of meat, or as a young lass?

btw i do appreciate what your doing im sorry if im coming accross rude or stuoid im just stating my thoughts
Honestly I'm not that concerned. I think you just want to justify what you like.

I second the motion
If only more women understood this and didn't contribute thinking its cute to flaunt themselves for the wrong attention, perhaps the meat market could close.

That's good. :)

It takes time to learn these things. When I created my account March 20th, 2010 I was an atheist. I have become a Christian since then and have learned a lot, and gone a long ways in sanctification (God making us more like his son in our thoughts, feelings, etc)

In western culture we have no respect for women, or female beauty. The same goes for men, though the pressure isn't as hard, and it seems men are generally better at running against the grain in that particular issue. Talk about muscle, and then you can have a lot of similarities.

Western societies are so messed up right now when it comes to beauty. I really love what Dove has done.

I was really impressed when emarie said this:
My body is for me, God, and my future spouse.
It's so very true.

I would have put God first, personally, but that doesn't negate the point.

We show how much we respect/love ourselves, with how we treat our body.
We show how much we respect/love God, with how we treat our body.
We show how much we respect/love our future spouse with how we treat our body.

Before I was a Christian, I was heavily involved in many sinful sexual practices. One of which is very common in the west, pornography. It has horrendously affected my ability to relate to others, especially the opposite sex. It is because I learned to view the female figure as a piece of meet hanging in a market, from which I could select my preferable cuts, that I struggle today. It has dramatically improved, no doubt, but that stain is always there. I am afraid of what it might mean were I to marry(something I'm not planning on at this moment, but would be surprised if it didn't happen). I want to be able to treat her as a woman ought to be treated, with respect for her as a person. This means not viewing her as a piece of meat hanging in a market, from which I can ask the butcher: When was it butchered? What is the price per pound? What kind of grain was it fed? etc etc. At that point we treat it like a product, and not as a person.

I don't think the meat market will ever close, but we can at least show others we're not for sale.

Just because it is a beach doesn't make a bikini more modest. Believe it or not God sees people on the beach too. Just because others do it doesn't mean you should as well. Bikinis are revealing. You are basically wearing a bra and panties. You wouldnt wear just your underwear to the beach would you? As a matter of fact a bra and panties seems to cover more skin these days than some bikinis I see.
Is it a relative argument? The facts are likely to be about the effect of wearing bikinis or other wear. If wearing bikinis didn't cause men to be as it were 'turned on' would they in fact be a problem? Could it be said that biblical men were less able to control themselves than men in modern ages? In my view, wearing sleeveless clothing could in some situations be practical and therefore appropriate. It would seem unsually unfair if a lady were not permitted certain summer clothing especially in hot countries. There seems to be ever more rules in 'church' ..but really, it could be said, the church is no different than the secular societies save the church making up rules to make it appear distinct from people, dare i say it, 'in the world.' What about Christian women wearing low-cut tops...why not force them also to wear trousers to cover their entire legs and not allow the shape to be viewed in society. Where does religion finish and common sense start? is my question

Last I checked we have a choice to wear whatever we want. Godly or ungodly. Nothing about Christianity is where we are to force anything on anyone. It is up to the individual how they want to represent themselves.

1 Peter 3:4
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. [SUP]4 [/SUP]Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
