Sorry to hear about your situation. There is the anabolic effect (growth, muscle development and contour) and the androgenic effect. Most people I have come across who are building are primarily concerned with growth and bulking up. These anabolic steroids work with the protein receptors; increasing RNA. These drugs can decrease circulation, have effects on the heart, and increase nitrogen retention. I am sure you are familiar with what they do to the organs.
I am not sure what type you are using, but I am assuming you are at this point looking for an alternative to help detox and transition to a more natural process. Have you looked into the raw foods diet? I was really researching diets for training and during my pregnancies. I remember going through this period of trying to figure out the whole protein bit and it was quite interesting what I saw with my approach as a vegetarian at the time. I read that book Diet for a New America and in there it talked about some Iron Man competitors who were vegetarian. I was like no way can they pull this off because I assumed the protein assimilation was less with a diet like that. Then I started reading about what the body really needs for protein...and where they can get these nutrients in a dense form. In John Robbins book he talks about how Schwarzneigger says that people tend to go overboard with intakes of 50 to 70 %protein which is really not necessary- suggesting eating one gram of protein for every 2lbs of body weight. 160 lb guy=80g (p.187)

I am not trying to promote vegan/vegetarian or raw foods diet exclusively; however, I was completely vegan with my youngest son and he is and was in excellent health. I felt great too. Most of the people that I know on raw foods diets (who are very responsible and not fanatical about it) are extremely healthy, with a lot of endurance/energy.
When you eat more raw foods you are preserving the nutrients in the food. It is a great benefit to clean and thin the blood... I actually met a guy who had prostate cancer who lived on this diet for 12 years and was able to eliminate the cancer just by his diet and with out drugs.
For a person who has an addictive personality, any extreme changes are not healthy. I think that changing your diet over time and not fast extreme detoxes are wiser. There needs to be a healthy balance.
As for the alcohol, I do not see a serious problem with an occasional drink. Mixing this with drugs is obvious like you have stated. I had some friends that got the same satisfaction from Kombucha.

RNA/ DNA: http://rawfooddiettips.com/honoring...japanese-gujarati-bengali-and-korean-edition/

this is a cool link...I have heard some arguments that cooking foods actually damages the structure of the RNA.

Anyway..hope this helps a little. If you want some links I can post them for you.

Why are you scared to go to a doctor? Is it because people will find out? Is it because it's expensive?

Death or body mutilation is your only other option. Do you feel that is a better choice?

Listen I know its hard. The day I went to a hospital was the day I tried to kill myself and I begged for hours for a therapist not to tell my parents. I was more afraid of them knowing then dying because I was ashamed. You know that therapist saved my life?

My parents care more about me then any shame I felt and it wasn't even an issue. Glad to say that I'm no longer on drugs and my mind is healthy. You need to go to a doctor and take control of your life because it's the only one you have. You dont get second chances. If fear is holding you back then tell someone you trust first so they can help you make the first steps. Your life is too important.

Look at the reasons why you take them, what is it there that you are seeking that you find you need steroids to find it.

Measure up in yourself whether those reasons (could be external, I know friends who got into steroids to compete with their friends who were bulking up) really outweigh the gains, every one's paths in life are different and no previous answer will account for the same decisions you have to make on a day to day but one thing is for sure is no doubt your friends or family would like to see the harm that you can cause to yourself if you really abuse steroids (besides bro you KNOW how intensive that stuff can be on the body, you have to have friends who have been doing it for a while).

There's two lifestyles your a part of, one's the drinking scene and the others the body improvement scene, the more your in one the less your part of the other, it's the trade-off. Don't burn that candle at both ends trying to get the best of both worlds. ^_^

Don't forget to pray brother. If you are a part of a church maybe talk to your pastor about it or ask the elders of the church to pray for you I have seen God deliver people from addictions, and heard great testimonies of it to. Just seek after God's face. You are in my prayers.

I don't know if this is what you need to help, but whenever life brings you to your knees, your in the perfect position to pray.

God Bless.

As far as I know there aren't any huge risks with discontinuation of Steriods. However, you will feel super weak and depressed for a while.

fun fact: it's a myth that steroids make you agressive, it simply intensifies whatever emotion you already have, it's usually used in sports, where agression is a common feeling.(so an agressive kid is going to get SUPER agressive)

The same Goes For ecstasy, it only intensifies whatever emotion you have. (usually happiness/party time)

*not supporting either, just thought it was interesting*

and ecstasy seems nicer than everyone says it is, and when you take it with meth you typically start to have paranoia and hallucinations.

Stopping an addiction is extremely hard... you definitely need to pray. You need to learn to be able to separate/cut yourself off from the situation where you'll be able to get your hands on it. It's a battle of faith as well, so make sure you gots your Armour of God ready. Think of what you'll lose doing them. Think of what you'll gain from stopping... Withdraw can be a nasty thing to go through, I know from first hand experience. You are in my prayers. Stay strong. God bless
