i dont see nothing wrong in useing them at all or introducing them to teenages in the uk we are taught about this in primary school sex education condoms etc but as what i know in america you teach kids to not have sex until marriage which is fine i guess but not telling them about condoms birth control is like not preparing them for the future

Condoms are a necessity in keeping the unwanted pregnancy rate down, leading to less abortions.
Also, VERY good with the whole lack of AIDS and STD's thing..

Yet, one must say that they are no perfect cure for the natural consequences of promiscuity and extramarital sex. Moreover, a person who uses condoms is more likely to have unprotected sex since one becomes increasingly uninhibited.

i agree with fsu boy . i think while we as christians may not agree with them as they are used as part of premarital sex i beleive safe sex needs to be taught as here in the uk we have a huge number of teenage pregnances and girls losing their virignity at 13 , and also abortions and stds, its great to teach kids to wait as in ideal, but there is a huge gulf between that and what is happening as more and more people are choosing to have sex before marriage and cohabit , i think it is better that they are are used to keep the woman safe than not at all

Again, you clearly are forgetting this is the REAL world. It doesn't matter what WE want, the world will never catch up. Condoms are the ONLY way to make sure the abortion rate doesn't sky rocket. It's unrealistic to tell all college students not to have sex. It just will not happen.

So in the real world, we blame our sin on others? On the "real" world?

It doesn't matter what WE want, the world will never catch up.
Preach the Gospel, and you'll get many to "catch up".

Condoms are the ONLY way to make sure the abortion rate doesn't sky rocket.
How many virgins have given birth?

Also, again. This is where you think too much extra-biblical, and not intra-biblical. The ONLY way to make sure abortion rates don't sky rocket is Christ.
It's unrealistic to tell all college students not to have sex.
I'll fetch my bullhorn, you gather the Frats. Let's do this! A-TEAM!

Again, we are Christians. God/bible reign supreme. Bible says no sex until you're married, so if they're not married, it is sin. They must know. You can refuse to tell, but I won't resist.

It just will not happen.
I'm not ashamed of the Gospel. Are you?
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

You're the problem, not the solution.
I'd rather not have abortions happen, also, but compromising is the way to go. Just saying "Don't have sex and NO CONDOMS FOR YOU" will do NOTHING. Being the condom nazi will only make people have UNPROTECTED sex. And abortions.

What did Jesus say to the adulterous woman in John 8? Did he say, "hey yeah that adultery thing is pretty bad, but here's how you keep from getting pregnant!"???

No.

John 8 said:
John 8

1 but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

2 At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
11 “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

Psalm 101 said:
8 Every morning I will put to silence
all the wicked in the land;
I will cut off every evildoer
from the city of the LORD.
Romans 12 said:
2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.quote]

[quote = 1 Peter 1]
14 As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;

Notice, it says All, not "that which is convenient."

Just saying "Don't have sex and NO CONDOMS FOR YOU" will do NOTHING.
That's why they need Christ.

Although I believe the abstinence is best, and that condoms aren't 100% affective (there are microscopic holes), I believe that if a couple will have sex, condoms are an excellent for birth control

Ok, new rule of thumb for me... If you want me to reply to ANYTHING you say, don't "quote" me and then unquote, quote again, then unquote. Quote my whole post and reply to it.. it's SUPER annoying to read your replies.
