Hate is the word they use for English. The writers aren't talking about the feeling, they are talking about a total rejection of. Which is why Jesus says you must hate your parents etc...

God totally rejects workers of evil which is why he had to pay their debt for them through Christ.

You are wrong. The Psalms state Davids hate for things as well as God.
And Going to Hell is not based on if we hate people or not.
Ephesians 2:8-9
8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast.
We are saved by Gods grace through Faith in Jesus Christ. We go to heaven on our faith not on if we don't hate people.

Great so I could hate people and still pls God and not loose my salvation. Fabulous

Matthew 5:21-22
“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder,[a] and whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’ 22 But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause[b] shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be in danger of hell fire.

My friend, if you die with bitterness and hatred in you, you will not enter heaven. That is why we must repent of sin, and not let Satan lead us into condemnation. Pride always leads one into condemnation, but the Lord spares the humble. I know it.

We have to repent of sin, and anyone that is walking after the Spirit of God manifests these:

Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Are you Christ's?

May Jesus bless you.

Awe Brandon.... God is love.......But He is also an excellent speaker.....You have to read what He saids in context...Its like reading literature... When He speaks of hate in that sense He is speaking about the behaviour.........

You have to separate the two otherwise the enemy will have a field day with your mind. and put you exactly where He wants you
Which is to doubt the unshakable love go God

Even if you lived your entire life without God and ended up in hell (pls note the word if), He would grieve for you in Hell ...His love would not even stop there
It says "You hate all WORKERS OF INIQUITY" That would be people correct? Also, where does the Bible say that God would grieve for us in Hell?

How about giving some Scripture to back up what you say.

Where in the Bible does it say you can not enter the kingdom with hatred or bitterness? That's ridiculous. We all have off days. My sister came home bitter from work because people mistreated her. If she died right then I'm certain she would still go to heaven. For the bible says: Romans 5:20 "Where sin abounds, grace much more abounds."

Certainly, and the Lord says not to let the sun go down on your wrath. Keep a repentant heart. Because pride leads to offense and offense to hell.

May Jesus bless you.

Given the carnage in the old testament and the promised carnage in revelations, I actually think "God hates people" to be a fair statement.

I believe that they may seem so only because God wanted a world free of sin, the old testament kinda exemplifies how it would be without free will. The main thing to remember is that God gave his only son Jesus to die on the cross to save our sins, everyone's sins whether they choose to embrace him or not

My follow up question then would be: why then is sin sin except that God says it is? If I create a robot with the ability to do tasks 1 to 10, then I declare that while it is programmed to do tasks 1 to 10, only tasks 2 to 8 may be done else I pull out a shot gun and shoot the robot. The robot in due time performs task 9, I blow its head off. Robot is done with... did I love my robot or hate it? Why did I make it so it had the ability to do something I forbid?

14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. 15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.

You can only be drawn away from righteousness if you were once made righteous.

I'm not sure about this.

I'm not sure, what you are not sure about, that's scripture I did not make it up.

This seems to be a popular topic, it happens to be dominating alot of the discussions. I dont think ppl will be moved by whatever scripture you put to them whether its glaring or not. This has to left to the Holy Spirit......

I believe in Jesus Christ. I am saved by grace. I am made righteous through Jesus and I am now empowered and now have the responsibility to live up to the banner He has placed over me.

The peace of God be with you.

This set up doesn't work because humans are not programmed computers. We have free will. God gave us the choice to obey Him or to disobey Him in the garden of Eden. We chose the path that led to destruction. That choice resulted in everyone born after that to be born into this sin curse (Psalm 51:5). My question is more along the lines of why was Satan allowed to enter that garden? I think, partly to show Adam and Eve how loyal they were to God.

Why is sin sin? Because it's evil. I hope I don't have to explain how sin is evil, but I will if you're not convinced already. A few real examples. Stealing. Would you like to be stolen from? Especially something you really like? Adultery. How would you feel if your wife cheated on you then moved in with with and married another guy? That's sin. It's evil. Fornication. How would you feel if your wife just told you she used to be a hooker on your wedding night?

Your last question I will address by putting in directly into real life and ask it this way. Why did God make humans to be able to do something He forbids? This is an easy question. You're asking why did God make us with free will. And that is because He loves us and chose to give us one of the greatest gift there is, without such true love could not exist. A love that is forced through design is not the love that comes from a spiritual being. If God designed humans to always choose good then they're choice to do good and evil wouldn't be there, and that's not a good thing because that would reduce the human existence to that of exactly what your example was. A robot with commuter programming for a brain. Think about it this way. Would YOU like to be reduced to that? There are a lot of unspoken things that cannot be experienced by robots no matter how advanced. Genesis chapter 1 would be a good read for you.

I pray that you understand that Jesus' love does not contradict the wrath of the Old Testament and Revelation.
