Hey!

I have a paper due tomorrow and I procrastinated... Well I actually have been too busy and haven't looked at the syllabus...

ANYWAYS... I have to write about a subject or person or anything really (pretty broad topic options) about the book of Hebrews.

I need ideas.

Does a syllabus have to do with syllables? I don't believe that the Hebrew alphabet has any vowels so the pronunciation of syllables is problematic at best. You may want to mention that in your outline. Perhaps you can write about Hebrews 13:2 about showing hospitality to strangers because you may be entertaining angels unawares.

Talk about Jesus Christ as our High Priest, able to save us completely as He lives forever to intercede on our behalf. (Hebrews 7:25). That through His blood we have the remission of sins, and He did one sacrifice for all, for all time. He isn't like the priests of ole, having to sacrifice yearly otherwise He would've suffered since the foundation of the world (because He is the sacrifice), but He did it once, and for all sin.

Hebrews is an incredible book that really emphasizes Jesus as our High Priest, and that He truly is the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Isn't that the story about the oil and the lamp? You could write about that.

-Jesus Christ as High Priest
-Sin not being imputed to us
-Shadows and types in the Old testament pointing to Jesus Christ, such as the sacrifices which couldn't take away sin (only covered) but Jesus Christ's sacrifice took away sin. He paid its penalty.
- The security and assurance we have because Jesus lives forever to intercede on our behalf (even into eternity).
-Hebrews 4:14 about the Lord helping us through temptations.

There are plenty of options. :)

Hebrews 12:1Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us,

Talk about our destiny that God set before us , and how each one of us has a race to run and how throwing off the yoke of sin will lead us to better accomplish our given tasks. Good luck on the paper. God speed
