No, God really does bless some people with much wealth to help others. Some do His will with their great blessings, others don't.

I think the OP's attitude is hugely prideful. He's acting like a pompous ass. All I hear from him is whinging and complaining that he's stuck amongst the little people. It's a huge turn-off. Some people are called to have great wealth but that's to help others, not themselves. Ugh! Ain't nobody got time for dat!
I understand your frustration, but try not to use cursewords okay? It would suck if you got banned.

Curse words? Here in Australia it means something like a donkey/a silly person. But yes, I need to learn to be more loving with people that aggravate me so.

I Corinthians 1:27

Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise.

And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.

It's not a consolation prize. It's a calling.

Matthew 19:24
I'll say it again--it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God!"

While being rich isn't a sin in and of itself, Jesus makes it clear being rich challenges your spiritual life. Or, just a focus on money.

Matthew 16:24-26
[SUP]24 [/SUP]Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. [SUP]25 [/SUP]For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. [SUP]26 [/SUP]For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?

Pretty self explanatory there.

Sounds to me as if you want to deny the scriptures and try to have the best of both worlds. I'm guessing you're a Joel Osteen fan, since this is what he teaches. In fact, this is most modern preaching and it's a travesty. Just because you take a worldly attitude and wrap it in a bible cover doesn't make it biblical. It just means you're hiding what's really inside.
We are not called to mediocre. Neither are we called to be successful by worldly standards. We care called to do our best in all things, whether that's cleaning toilets or running companies. Whether it's living broke as a missionary in a 3rd world country or running a multimillion dollar business. Because no matter whether God calls you to the slums or the corporate offices, in the end what matters is that you do your best, and that you use your time as a SERVANT to others. That is what we are ALL called to do. Preachers and servants, first and foremost. The great commission does not read 'go unto all the world and become successful in the world'.
Perhaps, if you're seeing everyone disagree with you, that may be a good time to pause and rethink your attitude. Right now your attitude is 'everyone else is wrong and i'm right'.
Anyways, i'm not saying any of this as a put down or to criticize, but to hopefully show you the error in your thinking so that you can learn that the measure of our success as Christians is not in what we accomplish by the standards the world set, but by our ability to be faithful to God. What you call 'consolation prize' is what God calls the ultimate goal in life. So you can keep arguing against God all you want (because this is ultimately what you're doing) but guess what? In the end, God will prove you wrong.

...this is difficult. It really is. It's choosing to live my will, or live God's will.
I must be very, very, very honest, and again, sorry if you are offended. I
am real, and must continue to be, for the sake of truth.

This post must have hit some people the wrong way, and I accept the responsibility
for my actions. I knew what I was doing bringing this subject up, and as such, accept
the possible view I may have against me.

I am currently reading the bible, and up to 1 Kings in the Old Testament, learning of David, Mephibosheth, Kingship, Absalom, and all the politics of David's reign on the throne. I've come to know figures like Samuel, Saul, Gideon, Samson, Deborah, and others. I've seen stories of the Israelites being united by leaders and judges, and made to be led astray. I've read the New Testament, the gospels, the acts of the apostles, the letters to the churches, Hebrews, James, and the book of Revelation.

All of these books tell me God is Good, God is eternal, Jesus is LORD, salvation is present, the holy spirit is alive and thriving...and I'm in process of seeking it, regardless of how I feel. But enough is enough, I suppose.

The answer is simple: Do I live for God, or live for self? Do I seek power, wealth, and influence, or do I seek God's will for my life?

...God has worked miracles, but I cant see them work in my life. I wanted to see if it worked in others, but from the looks of it, simply put:

It is what it is. I cant push on this subject without shaking the grounds. I'll resolve it in chatroom. Sorry.

Sadly for the majority this is not the case.

The wealth is not spread around, even by a non-charity standard.

...this is difficult. It really is.
What is?

It's choosing to live my will, or live God's will.
Dude, what are you talking about? Your life, this post?

I must be very, very, very honest, and again, sorry if you are offended.
Little late for that

I am real, and must continue to be, for the sake of truth.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Cool?

*wow, I wonder how he's about to tie this in with the rest of what he's saying*

All of these books tell me God is Good, God is eternal, Jesus is LORD, salvation is present, the holy spirit is alive and thriving...
Amen to that

and I'm in process of seeking it, regardless of how I feel. But enough is enough, I suppose.
What? But, but, but, you just said! God is good, God is eternal, spirit... thriving... etc!

The answer is simple: Do I live for God, or live for self? Do I seek power, wealth, and influence, or do I seek God's will for my life?
Now, see.. you say that, but every time so far you seem to have chosen power, wealth, and influence OVER God. Perhaps it isn't that simple after all?

...God has worked miracles, but I cant see them work in my life.
Open your eyes

I wanted to see if it worked in others, but from the looks of it, simply put: It is what it is. I cant push on this subject without shaking the grounds.
Again, WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!

I'll resolve it in chatroom. Sorry.
Bye?
