The answer to why people can't live in happiness is both philosophical and religious, you're the one that doesn't understand this or listen to what I've said in my previous posts. Jesus preached love but he preached truth and to turn from sin. He never preached that it was okay for people to do whatever they wanted, as long as their actions didn't hurt anyone.

Then why would he send the people to hell if he loves them? I understand all the free-will, "it's their choice" thing, but still
while God is merciful, He is also just. He has given us a set of rules and the consequences for breaking said rules. there is a chance for redemption, though--His Son Jesus Christ.

God doesn't hate anyone. He loves us all equally. He only hates actions we partake in that He knows will lead to our ultimate destruction.

Hello there Isa615, actually there are people that God does hate. The Bible says that God hates all workers of iniquity.

5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight:
thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing:
the
Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man. - Psalm 5:5-6 (King James Bible)

God does not love everyone.

God's love was manifested at Calvary. And if a sinner does not go to Calvary and receive Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour, well then that same sinner does not have the love of God abiding on him, but rather, he has the holy wrath of God abiding on him.

I am sure you are familiar with the common and popular phrase: "God loves the sinner, but hates the sin." The problem with saying that is that that very phrase does not occur one time anywhere in the Holy Bible.

Now does God hate sin? Absolutely, He hates it with perfect hatred. But that's not all. As you have seen already, the Lord also hates men who work iniquity.

Let's look at another Scripture that teaches that it is not only sin which God hates:

14
The mouth of strange women is a deep pit:

he that is abhorred of the Lord shall fall therein.
- Proverbs 22:14 (King James Bible)

From reading the above verse of Scripture, we know that there are even those who are abhorred of the LORD.

Do you know how strong the word abhor is and the weight it carries with it in its meaning? Let me give you some definitions of this word, both modern and older:

ab·hor(
b-hôr
)tr.v. ab·horred, ab·hor·ring, ab·horsTo regard with horror or loathing; detest:

abhor[əbˈhɔː]vb -hors, -horring, -horred(tr) to detest vehemently; find repugnant; reject

And here are some definitions of this same word from the Websters 1828 Dictionary:

abhorring
ABHOR'RING, ppr. Having great aversion, detesting. As a noun, it is used in Isaiah lxvi, for the object of hatred - "An abhorring to all flesh. "

This should show you that God indeed does not love everybody. And that there are those that He hates and abhors. The wrath of God abides on the children of disobedience. And those who have rejected Jesus Christ; whether openly or not, they are the children of wrath. Therefore the love of God is not upon a Christ rejecting sinner.

A Christ rejecting sinner is a child of wrath. And again, if that person wants to receive the love of God, then that same person needs to repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

And any sinner who comes to the end of himself, and repents of his self righteousness and of his pride, that sinner is then ready for salvation. The next step for him is to believe on the Lord.

All of this . . . ALL OF THIS . . . is irrelevant, because you missed what I was trying to say, which is what I've been saying this whole time. What I meant by 'happiness' was not some philosophical or religious rendition of the word, but simply: living the way they want.

I've asked you this three or four times now:

WHY?? ANSWER ME!
I have the feeling you are being purposely thick headed. You speak as a child demanding the answer you desire and rejecting the truth as it doesn't suit you. You are taking Scripture out of context and twisting it into something it doesn't mean for your own purpose. I seriously doubt that you have ever read the Word of God in a meaninful way judging by the way you keep asking the same childish question over and over again. The answer is still the same, God's Word never changes. You can either accept it or not...it's really not all that complicated. Once again....Homosexuals can live how they choose with whomever they choose....God calls it sin.....simple as that. Are you gay?

200 years ago you have been using the same techniques to say that black people should be slaves.

Leviticus 25: 44-46
As for your male and female slaves whom you may have: you may buy male and female slaves from among the nations that are around you. You may also buy from among the strangers who sojourn with you and their clans that are with you, who have been born in your land, and they may be your property. You may bequeath them to your sons after you to inherit as a possession forever. You may make slaves of them, but over your brothers the people of Israel you shall not rule, one over another.
Exodus 21: 20-21
“When a man strikes his slave, male or female, with a rod and the slave dies under his hand, he shall be avenged. But if the slave survives a day or two, he is not to be avenged, for the slave is his money.

Ephesians 6: 5
Slaves, obey your earthly masters with fear and trembling, with a sincere heart, as you would Christ,

I Timothy 6: 1-2
Let all who are under a yoke as slaves regard their own masters as worthy of all honor, so that the name of God and the teaching may not be reviled. Those who have believing masters must not be disrespectful on the ground that they are brothers; rather they must serve all the better since those who benefit by their good service are believers and beloved. Teach and urge these things.

The same scenario is playing out now in America with homosexuals. That's why you say I have a thick head. How do I read the Word of God in a meaningful way? . . . no matter how I say you'll still say I didn't read it right until I read it the way you see it.

And no, I'm not gay.

Now you just aren't making any sense. I hope you are able to resolve your issues. Maybe it would help to seek counseling from a pastor. I asked if you are gay because you seem to be taking everything said on the subject as a personal attack. Maybe you have some unresolved issues in that area. There isn't much left for me to say to you as you won't listen if you don't like the answers. It is my suggestion that you stop twisting scripture as God doesn't think much of that either. It has become obvious to me that you just want to argue which is pointless. Maybe when you are older things will make a bit more sense to you. I hope you will one day come to a better understanding of God's Holy Word.

I can certainly understand why....still it's a sad thing when a young person's mind is so closed to God's word.

This is the 'troll' Jredfox4111, who's been reincarnated as Jredfox411 because somebody on here decided to report my profile. Here's the complete screen I came to when I logged on this evening:

[h=2]System Message[/h]You have been banned for the following reason:
Just here to be against the faith.
Date the ban will be lifted: Indefinite
Obviously someone on here got offended by what I've been saying (which, if you really look I try to stay as civil as possible) and decided to report me as 'being against the faith.'

I doubt this profile will stay active much longer, because the same person will, most likely, report it.

And to 'Tintin' and 'rainin:' My mind is so closed to God's Word, because it makes no sense. And also, you both have been avoiding my questions. I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of you two that 'reported me.' . . .

While I don't disagree with street preaching, I would refrain from using hurtful labels when preaching. Jesus was often criticized for the company He kept but it was the best way to win their hearts. We never know the path another has walked. You may despise this post and my opinion if you wish.

This man has courage -- an enviable amount undoubtedly.

But he shouldn't try to stop them by saying they'll burn in hell, that's outright offensive. These people should be able to feel good with whatever gender they want and this guy is just aggravating everything.
sure. it's OK to "be a Christian" as long as you don't actually believe the Bible.

that's what you're saying here?

you can keep your plastic life; i've got a living & true God.

I don't see people yelling at him. Vibrant discussion is different.
