So there was a song that came out, “For God so Loved the World.” I was listening to it and something occurred to me.

We always think of how Jesus went through the pains of human life: infancy, growing up, and of course the pain and agony of the cross. He knew familial love with His earthly mother and siblings, as well as I assume His step dad while he was alive.

But God the Father went through it too... The Lord not only has had to deal with the sadness of losing loved ones on earth, but also God the Father in losing a child. He knew the agony that only a parent can feel. Especially when Christ gave Himself for the world...so the Father knew it was for a reason... But even if we know something, that doesn’t mean the pain is any less.

Just interesting. I always thought of it from Christ perspective, not also from the Father’s perspective too.

Skip forward to 15 seconds if you do not want to see the brutality
of Mel Gibson's Crucified Christ from the movie, The Passion of Christ.

The clip shows a tear drop as though falling from Heaven after Jesus breathed His last.

I've thought about that too, and it is a sombering thought... but then I thought more (since I am a chronic overthinker) and wondered if it's the same as when a human loses a child because when Jesus died on the cross, he only was away from his Father for a short time before he ascended into heaven and was reunited with Him. I'm not trying to downplay Jesus's death or God's feeling of loss, but it just doesn't seem the same to me because when a human loses a child they don't get to see them again until they die, assuming that they are both going to heaven..

Just my thoughts.
