Still looking for careers stuff, and I'm trying to cultivate more places to look. I have a fine arts degree in painting.... Looking for stuff with good health benefits, so far I've looked in

LinkedIn (job boards)
Federal website
Painting stuff
National Parks
City jobs (I live in Arizona so I've pretty much looked at all the cities)
News Stations
A lot of the social media that I use (youtube, tumblr, google)
Animation Studios (Pixar, Cartoon Network. Disney)
Game studios of many types
SRP (where my parents work)
Card illustration thingies

Am I missing anything? Anyone have any ideas?

Are you interested in using your degree? Or are you just after whatever rolls around and appeals?

Is location crucial to you? W.L. Gore has a plant in Flagstaff. Great benefits, good pay, excellent people. Might consider APS if your applied at SRP. Hey, it's a competitor but good job nonetheless. ;) (I've lived in Northern AZ my entire life.)

Maybe try Glassdoor. I've seen some success (not personally, but from others), in addition to a plethora of options.

Yeah I've tried glassdoor, a lot of the employers sites, linkedin, snagajob..... WL Gore huh? Location isn't important really, it's mostly the benefits. That would be the reason for me to shift from my current job. I needs the healths.

My Niece started a business called the Bottled Artist where she teaches people to paint with acrylic paint and they drink wine and have a good time. You could probably google these paint parties because I have seen similar businesses with different names. She does it out of her home.

I thought about doing that sort of thing, but I gotta have benefits. That is a non-negotiable. I am officially out of my parent's healthcare a year from now, and I don't want to be uninsured.

There is a bunch of us uninsured.... it's interesting living on the edge...especially at 61. I can afford a cold or a broken bone beyond that I will just stay home and die. Probably sooner rather than latter....

Precisely why I want to not be uninsured. I have a tendency to be a bit of a hypochondriac and I either ignore something that is bad or overreact. So I want to be insured so I can do either and not be in constant dread of injury.

well you can relocate to Indiana, then get on the HIP plan... it can be as cheap as $12 a year or more.

Look up job fairs in your area and nearby cities. ..get face to face with recruiters, bring fresh copies of your resume, and have a 30 -60 second 'elevator pitch' that highlights your goals and who you are, follow up with thank you emails to the people you speak with

Chin up lady, sometimes it takes a long time....just keep putting yourself in front of as many opportunities as possible, that's the part that is in your control.

As far as benefits, if you don't have insurance through an employer, you can enroll into a plan offered under the Affordable Care Act, and make your own contributions to a traditional or roth IRA for retirement savings.

Have you looked into a healthcare sharing ministry ( I think they are called) at all? Basically there are Christian groups that bring people together to help cover each other's major healthcare costs in exchange for the understanding that if you end up with eligible costs (things like hospitalization or accidents, most don't cover chronic diseases or pre-existing conditions) they will help you pay them. It isn't full insurance, but especially if you are young and otherwise healthy the main reason to have insurance would be to guard against the just in case of injury or hospitalization anyway. And if you love your current job, it might be a good thing for you.

When I am hiring I post on Indeed and Craigslist. I also suggest letting your Church know you are looking, as many Employers are in church and love to hire from the congregation when possible.
