I'm not a gamer so I usually don't know a lot about the few games I play. Mostly I just look things up as I need them. And beginners guides, well after I've started 😂
No survival mode for me. I'm not good enough. Nor patient enough. My brain likes faster rewards. When I go a long time not at least leveling I get bored. Probably my depression that causes that.
I started Far Harbor. Pretty sure I blew up the sub as well. But that's as far as I got.
Yeah. Doing the gangs quest line is quite time consuming to start off. Basically the park is split into 4-5 sections. Each section has a series of quests that have to be done to win that section, more or less. Also a question that goes into every section but requires you to wear special glasses that replaces your helmet. 🙄
It's hours just to basically unlock the gangs to play with. Quite the hassle.
But they have a nice gun you can get, though if you don't stick with them you may have trouble finding much ammo for it. And a nice market.
No way man. I like Preston. I know a lot of people say he's a wimp, but they'd be depressed too if they went through what he went through.

So all the Nuka World raiders will buuuuuuurn! I'm going in like the Children of Atom.

I never use him.
I like the robot from that ex pack. Haven't played in a while so blanking on names for a lot.

There is that quest to take out the gangs, but I believe you still have to do the starter quest lines to get it and let the gangs unlock, I could be wrong though.

Automatron?

With the automatron pack you can reconfigure Codsworth too. You can reconfigure any robot. My Codsworth is a beast! I put dual gatling lasers on him.

"Is that all? Fine, then..." sounds a bit supercilious after he has just blasted every enemy with a storm of laser fire.

Yes. Yeah. The ability to alter them to suit your playstyle is really nice. Plus they're pretty strong.

To each their own.

I got the new Prince of Persia game, my favorite childhood game, and i have to say that so far it's excellent.
It's a modern side-scroller which is fantastic for an old boomer like me. :D

I personally, can't play any video games anymore. I personally cannot control them. Not trying to discourage anything, but I feel like even if the games are clean, they are addictive. I now prefer activities that include creativity and productivity, such as drawing and making music.

Now, I do still like characters from video games, but I won't play the games with them anymore. Maybe I should write about Mario and Luigi becoming Christians... :D

Now, joking aside, this verse comes to my mind.
Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31

I am not sure how ya can do that with video games. Not trying to be a pharisee towards this community's gamers, but I personally believe it has harmed my life greatly and I regret having spent hundreds of dollars on it...
Best reply I have seen so far.

I was really good at Donkey Kong (the original arcade game). Once they added the "B" button to games, I was done. My brain just doesn't work that way.

This side-stroller resembling Metroid or Castlevania was on sale and it's also another nice addition to my library.

I personally hate video games. I never play as an adult unless to play with my kid. I find them stressful and boring at the same time. 😆 but as a kid I played only every once in a while mario, sonic, donkeykong.

My son is obsessed with video games as most kids are today. This kid came up to us and started talking about roblox. No joke I was thinking is this my kid? He sounded just like him... so strange. He's good friends with my son now, go figure. So yea it can bring people together.

We have a 1-2 hour a week rule and are pretty strict with it only bc our son gets obsessed and it's unhealthy for emotional growth. It's always 1 of my 1st consequences to go as well. He would play video games over everything even eating or going outside. He's very good and even beats entire games at 6 which is crazy as I never did that even much older.

People, even kids make a living on YouTube playing games believe it or not. I mean a ton of money. Even in education we will use video game themes for brain breaks or teaching even... building habitats in minecraft with a polar bear and Antarctica. Also kids will read in certain video games as they have stories. They can go into graphic design for video games... which is basically the new I want to be a football player star. Every kid wants it. But even with freelancing you can do pretty well. You can turn any hobby into money nowadays. The more people enjoy it the more money you make.

From a spiritual perspective I have no idea. My son dreams about flying and has weird dreams compared to me as a kid. They say people who play video games have lucid dreams more... which I didn't start until an adult. I think people like it bc it's creating and we're made in the image of God, therefore enjoy creating. I don't think God is surprised at all that many people enjoy video games.
