Why do American Ladies Smile a lot?

Think about it,the US is the most decadent influential country in the world,where the women are allowed to do whatever they want.

I recently took a trip and at the airport every chick had a smile on their face,at the time I was staying in a motel and frequenting parks riding bike.

Well I came across some (3 actually) of those chicks from the airport at a park that were discussing me and my living accommodation,they says "let's see if he wants to stay with us...but let's see if he can handle the workload first".

This isn't a testament to my good looks...NO..NO..NO because I am not THAT aesthetically pleasing,it's a testament to how far females have gone especially in the U.S.

Depends on the individual, some people are just naturally friendly. However there are plenty of places where people will get confrontational with you if you look at them a certain way. So i wouldnt lable a whole nation of women to have that characteristic

Huh? They do? Usually on TV shows, I can say the exact opposite...in fact, they are often more bickering and angry than anything. Meanwhile in Singapore, I see that the women in public are much more cheerful than American ladies...but hey, I'm not racist or anything...

If you are an American lady and you are reading this, please don't hunt me down.

I tend to smile a lot at people. Especially when I first meet them. I think in, for example the UK, smiling or non verbal gestures are considered vulgar. In America we are expressive non verbally. Sometimes too much. I wish I was more proper, lol.

Maybe, it could be because we are happy?

I know I always get complimented on my smile and they comment that I have the ability to light up when someone walks into the room

I would definitely argue that television is not a good representation of American life : p

And about the smiling thing, smiling is considered both polite and attractive. I work in retail, and they very much want us to smile and be friendly while were on the sales floor : p

Its a good way to make people feel more comfortable around you, and it also helps cheer up others, as well. I once heard a quote that I kinda liked, it was like... "its a morale obligation to be happy". Or course that doesnt mean force yourself to be happy all the time, we can look at this reasonably : p But its better for everyone if you can carry yourself in a cheerful way than to walk around angry about everything, forcing your problems on every stranger you come across, bringing them down with you. I try to do this myself, like when I go shopping or anything else. Being polite and cheerful with others helps others be that way with everyone else.

Its good practice to smile often.

Recently, I went to visit an orphanage and I met a lady from America who is an American. As we were discussing, she was smiling the whole of our discussion. It was a lovely and an interesting discussion.
