he said "any rotation causes the precession" -- that the ether rotating around the earth causes the precession. he doesn't understand why latitude matters. this guy doesn't even understand foucault's pendulum at all. the fact is that "any rotation" doesn't cause the precession observed. only coriolis force explains this, and it's because the precession rate depends on latitude that the coriolis force from a rotating, spherical earth is the only explanation.
