In my astronomy class in the 1960s, we calculated the distance from the earth to geostationary orbit (point above the equator where an object orbits the earth once every 24 hours).
How did you calculate it? And, in addition to the specific height [range], how do those calculations also show how/what/why a satellite in geostationary orbit is prevented from losing altitude or floating off into space?

I don't believe that things have changed since then.
I would say that things have changed quite a bit since then...

Back then - they said that satellites could only exist in orbit at the one-and-only geostationary/geosynchronous orbit height. Now - apparently - there are satellite orbits at various different heights. What is that all about?

It's very simple. You say that the moon landings did not take place. Born again believers say that they have and that they personally went to the moon. So you are saying that they lie. I'll leave it there.
It's very complex.

1) How do you know-that-you-know-that-you-know that they are true born-again believers? Have you heard/read each of their personal testimonies such that it convinces you 100% that they are indeed born-again? (I am pretty sure that I never have.)

2) Even born-again believers can find themselves in situations where they are coerced to lie under the threat of harm to their families, etc.

There is more evidence that men walked on the moon than there is that Jesus lived.
I disagree. The evidence that Jesus lived is real. The "evidence" that men walked on the moon is fake.

However, the moon landings are not a matter of Christian faith and Jesus does not come into it.
Then - why-oh-why do you keep giving your spiel about "Christians" (unproven) in NASA saying they went to the moon?????

It's not NASA whose evidence you need to weigh. Many countries have space agencies and invest fortunes in research into space travel. Why would they bother? These countries have serious problems at home to address, and that includes America. NASA received funding of $25 billion in 2023. Yet homelessness and poverty are a serious problem. And this to support a lie? Russia, India, China, Europe and even Australia are involved.
This is a MAJOR CLUE!

Why can you not see it???

You seem to be looking at only one tree in the forest - you need to look at the whole forest.

As a Christian - why are you unable to see and understand that Satan is behind all of this???

Nothing happens without intent and motivation. Why would a group of nations collectively lie about landing on the moon? Russia, China and India would have to collude with NASA. And according to you, they all lie. Why would they bother?
It is not necessary for everyone involved to be lying - the real truth is "need to know" in these situations - and, "most do not need to know"...

When those 5G satellites went up by the thousands a few years ago, ...
Just talk...

When you understand that a sufficient amount of moisture in the air would severely hamper the operation of such a system - you should realize that an attempt of such a method of communication over such a long distance is futile and worthless. The 5G tech cannot be used over long distances. Why do you think they want to put 5G "min-towers" on every-other-block in cities? Think about it...

(Yes - bandwidth is part of the reason. But - would that not make a satellite-based method even more impractical?)

Poor folks in Lahaina were zapped by the death rays from above.
Airplanes. Not satellites.

A few years back, I learned that Elon was launching thousands of satellites from Space X. The story was that they would blanket the country.
Only the country? Why not the whole world?

"blanket the country" - think "hanging from balloons" ;)

Helicopters. Something close.

I do not believe that it could have been HAARP related - does not fit in with the way it works and what it can do.

If you think about the "spatial" characteristics of this for just a bit - you should begin to see just how stupid the idea really is...

Why would you need so many satellites at such a great distance to accommodate a multitude of small areas? (with such extreme overlap)

This stuff is invented to fool the masses - who do not understand how stuff really works.

To be honest, I'm slowly doubting the whole satellite thing,...
As far as all those rockets you see, that are reported as a new satelite system, maybe it's just a cover story for new rocket technology for the military. It sure would be a great way to silence the general public.
My brother not only designed military rockets (the nuclear kind), he also designed satellite launch systems. Some of his ashes went up in one. The latter are not military rockets.

My brother, who is an electrical engineer, designs wiring harnesses that trigger the ordnance packages related to separating the rocket stages during flight.

I didn't say it couldn't be jets, but the military advertises their weaponized satellites. I read a book written by a general who was against Ronald Reagan's SDI program. They had space lasers, particle beams back then. Do you remember the recent implementation of the new branch of the military? Trump bragged about it in a lot of speeches. Did Lahaina get hit by DEWs from jets? Very possibly, I ll give you that. Does it really matter to the people who were attacked?

Elon's and NASAs military contracts do extend to the entire world. If I remember correctly, the story about the thousands of launches was that one of their main purposes was 5g.
Surveillance was one and there were many others. There have been surveillance blimps for a long time too. They were used by Germany in WW2. They are used on America and are reportedly beyond the vision, but certainly much lower than the satellites. The balloons used by Biten and China a year or so ago were low altitude.

PS: That was VERY WEIRD. Just as I posted this, a VERY LOW JET just went over me. Surprised I didn't hear a sonic boom. We get helicopters daily, but never low jets. That was creepy with the timing of this post. I wonder if God was using it to speak to me about times to come? Seriously, I don't know.

Thanks for proving my point, that you add words to what people post, and you have trouble with reading comprehension. To Summarize: You back tracked your first comment, than sorta summarize what I previously said, without actually quoting me, on what you originally accused me of. I rest my case, if you rest yours.

Now for a little reverse psychology.............

Below is Gideon logic, strawman's argument, and generally just reactionary statements to talking to someone who vilifies someone, who you disagree with.

Nixon is not a liar, because he is a Christian. Anyone who says, Richard Nixon ever lied, is claiming that the Christian faith is a lie. Christian's can't lie ever, it's literally impossible for Christians to lie. Just ask Gideon, he says if you lie, your pants catch on fire. I never seen a Christian with his pants on fire, but Christians can't lie.

Nixon never lied, just take your dollars into any bank, and they will gladly convert your dollars to gold. Nixon only took the dollar off the gold standard temporarily, not permanently. 1971 was a long time ago, so the dollar must be back by gold by now, since Nixon never lied.

Nixon welcoming the moon landing crew. If you call Nixon a liar, you call the moon landers liars, because there is a picture of all them together.

Nixon was an honest man, and never did anything wrong, our did anything to bring shame to Christians or the country. Don't be calling Christians liars, ever! If you do, your calling Peter a liar, and he denied Christ three times. Peter never lied, because if you do, you are calling all Christians liars.

Nixon may have been the only President to resign from the office, but he is not a liar. He just resigned, because loves America.

There is more evidence that men walked on the moon than there is that Jesus lived. The god of this world blinds the eyes of those who are perishing, so I'm surprised when smart people believe, not when they mock. However, the moon landings are not a matter of Christian faith and Jesus does not come into it.

It's amazing that the leaders of countries never lie, and there is no known agency or groups, that control multiple nations, or political interests. I mean just look at Covid, most of the countries treated Covid completely different. It's great knowing that countries are completely honest and never do joint propaganda.

It is possible to visit the Chernobyl site. The time permitted in the hot zone is short. Animals have thrived because few people live there.

A rocket takes about 52 minutes to pass through the Van Allen belt. The amount of radiation received by astronauts is not a health risk, as the lifespan of many will attest. Buzz Aldrin is 92. Radiation is survivable if the individual survives initial exposure. At least one survivor of the Hiroshima atomic bomb lived until he was 93.
So, your comparing visit the hot zone at the Chernobyl site, which happend 38 years ago, to the Van Allen Belts, or was this your attempt of trying to muddy the waters of a nuclear reactor during the melt down?

You have actually seen a rocket pass through the Van Allen Belts in 52 minutes, mesaured the radiation of astronauts, and confirmed that the survivor of the Hiroshima atomic bomb, survived radiation exposure that should of killed him? Maybe you just read this and believe it's true and could care less, if people see things differently, and will use strawman's arguments against poster, who you disagree with?

That's amazing about picking up stations from Europe. Who knows what the 5G stations are picking up, or transmitting. lol

It's hard to say what happened in Lahaina, but I'm not buying the official story. Cars melting into pools of metal is questionable to me, if it's just a fire started by power lines, or whatever we are supposed to believe.
It's strange how I posted this video a little while ago to someone else who I talked about the possibility of jets destroying Lahaina, then something happened that very rarely happens. A very low flying jet passed overhead very low. It was so loud it shook things up, like me. God speaks to me through more than coincidental ways that only He can do. It makes me wonder what the message was.

My cousin knows your brother and he is smarter, than your brother. So there! Making a point here, not sure if you will get it, or not.

Sorry to hear about your brother. How did your brother die?

That was strange, when I first played that video, it played the theme song, for the Beverly Hillbillies.

Iraq has weapons of mass destruction. George. W.

Let me know a time in history when governments, were afraid of killing it's own people?

My bad.... I haven't been getting enough sleep. I already forgot that I posted another one on Jed's oil to different thread. I thought the previous one on Lahaina was still at the top of my clipboard. I wish there was a way to check the clipboard before posting.
