To be honest, I hadn’t even considered the possibility of anyone believing in FE before actually seeing people writing lengthy comments about it here. I still kinda think they’re just messing with us ball earth people, but I’m starting to doubt it.

I think the lack of elementary knowledge of physics, mathematics and geography plays a major role in the FE viewpoints. I don’t think many (any) of them have experience in navigation or have been serving in the naval forces or air forces. I’m pretty sure none of them are pilots or sailors, to put it mildly.

I don’t share your sentiment. These pics with pathos filled text don’t impress me much (thank you, Shania Twain). I’ll advise you to take a simple navigation class, raise your hand and let the instructor know why ball earth is humbug.😁

Why do you consider a "composite" as "fake"? If the result is composed of real images stitched together to minimize distortion and maximize image and subject quality, what is the concern? Unless, of course, you have a pre-existing bias against the possibility of the real subject....
Composites can be "stitched together" to form any shape imaginable; therefore is cannot be used to PROVE the shape of the earth, spherical or flat.

Agreed, so one's belief as to the actual shape of the earth determines one's conclusion regarding the validity of the composite.

I agree! And I couldn't in all good conscience consider the composites valid enough to use them to argue either BE or FE.

How can you know the 'facts' when the 'proof' is admittedly fake? I'll give you this much. It takes more faith then trusting Christ for salvation, but I'd be very careful putting more faith in man than in God.
We live in the age of the deluded. It's a shame that Christians fall for such delusions. The earth is a globe. FE theory defies the laws of nature, defies observations, defies practicality and is proven to be false. There is no flat earth map. I have flown internationally a number of times. The navigator files a flight plan and the pilot flies the aircraft to its destination. This is according to the globe, not assuming that the earth is flat. When aircraft continually fail to get to their destination, you will realise that FE folly has infected the airline industry. So far, that has not happened, which is a great relief to the airline industry.

I spent 3-1/2 years on a warship. We travelled extensively around SE Asia. Our global based map managed to get us to the many ports without ever us getting lost. That predated GPS. Which stands for global position indicator, by the way.

For some reason beyond me, FE people usually deny the lunar landings also. I won't bother to dispel that delusion. I have better things to do at present. I've wasted enough time with the unteachable as it is.

Most of the Flat Earther's I've met are smarter. The others just blindly accept what they're taught in school, university, etc. Flat Earthers take this, apply it to real life, and find the ball-Earth stuff doesn't actually work.

The Flat Earthers I know have often been top of their fields. I knew a man who served many years in the military working with torpedoes. Most of the people who realise or learn the Earth is flat won't just go around admitting it to everyone. Most people are so indoctrinated with lies, they will mistake a genius speaking the truth for a madman if the evidence is not introduced more slowly and carefully.

We live in the age of the deluded.
Yes, we do - but, that is because everyone on earth has been lied to about virtually everything all of their lives.

It's a shame that Christians fall for such delusions.
Yes, it is - but, that is because "they are people too" and tend to fall for the same deceptions as everyone else.

Do you realize that what you are saying sounds like opinion and furthermore, comes across anecdotally?

I guess FE people could be left in charge of torpedoes, if the captain is fine with a guy who denies that the nautical mile is based on the Earth's longitude and latitude coordinates, with one nautical mile equaling one minute of latitude.

It doesn't matter to me what shape the earth is. Its just impossible for anyone in West Virginia to believe the world is flat.
