If we did it that way in the 8 years following the Declaration of Independence, we wouldn't have a country.

Not saying we neglect our Christian duties, but that's not how to fight the spiritual war raging against America's founding.

You must be engaged and be a spiritual and cultural warrior. If not, you will lose the country. Now, if by praying you mean for a new great awakening within the church, and for revival among the lost, I say go for it. But, there are other things we should be prepared to do as well. Feeding the homeless is not going to stop the maniacal Left from tyrannically encroaching upon your natural right to worship Christ.
